i struggle to see why the team that has the bye and the team that now has the forfeit can't play each other with minimal disruption to programming - i'm sure these could be converted into triple headers but the saafl know best...

agreed, C4 seems to be the worst comp to play in for this reason. To be honest who cares if you play one side 4 times and another only twice? I think a couple of years back our D grade played in an 8 team comp and they were unlucky to have to play the better sides more often but still only missed out on the GF by one game so if you are a decent enough side you will actually benefit from playing the better sides. It just works out to be the luck of the draw really.

I am happy to have a bye for a 9 team comp but that is really because I need that rest every now and then, but last season was just ridiculous you would be missing games all the time, add to this that by the end of the season westminster had troubles getting players so they had to forfeit our game. This can and more than likely will happen again as the season draws towards the end, sides that are struggling may not be able to get the numbers.

Dunc's if this is the case yes we would be keen as for a hit out against your boys either round 1 or round 2?
Lets see wht the league do with the draw & if they go down that path lets make it happen as otherwise will be hard to keep numbers interested with only 1 game in the first month...

Why havent they advised the league, they are stuffing everyone else arond. Id be very pissed off if they waited til next thursday night to call league and officially pull out!!!

Try telling that to the knuckleheads in at Thebarton. They think it's "unfair" on the side who has to play a good side 3 or 4 times and it doesn't fit the magical template.
