Yeah I've noticed that! What is the deal????
I guess too many idiots couldnt get it right so they have taken the cautious approach

i think the people in cahrge of these things dont trust the "general public" to make correct decisions, such as selecting safe gaps to turn in traffic.

the latest i heard was that wind bag Harold Scruby from the pedestrian council, or whatever his organisation is called, spouting off about south australias "dangerous" school zone laws. he wants us brought into line with the western states.

IMO we have safer rules than interstate, 25kph around school zones whenever there are children present,no matter what day of the week, whereas i know victoria have 40kph during specified times, only on school days.

it seems some poeple dont like the fact that south aussie drivers get to use their judgement at all. in effect if we changed to reflect interstate standards we would be raising the school zone limit by 15kph!! and we could go past at 50 on weekends when there may still be kids in the area. all because drivers cant be trusted to use their own judgement.....

You see, this profession is filled to the brim with unrealistic mother ****! Mother **** who thought their ass would age like wine. If you mean it turns to vinegar, it does. If you mean it gets better with age, it don't.

Those "My Family" stickers on cars.

Who gives a shit if you have 3 kids 2 dogs and a fish.

Would love to see a Big Catholic family fill their whole back window just to stick it to everyone else!

And those 'Lil Dude on board' and 'Lil Princess on board' signs that people stick on the back window of the car. That just screams out BOGAN!

Also do you notice people with these signs are often the worst drivers on the road (yet promoting the fact they're driving with infants)

People who continue to drive right next to you and stick their indicator on and expect you to disappear up your own tailpipe so they can have your spot on the road........
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I never see drivers slowing down to pull in behind. It's always floor it and cut in front.

Today's Fred Bassett cartoon in the Tiser. Fred Bassett cartoons full stop. I find the Phantom more humorous.

Speaking of which, I slowed down to go behind the car next to me and the **** slowed down at the same time....

So I sped up, and went in front and he gave me the finger

Spent the next part of the trip tapping the brakes every 100 mtrs and watching the old ****, have a coronary....

There is also a staggering percentage of drivers who believe:

a) an indicator is to tell people what you have just done, not what you are about to do, or
b) that an indicator is to be kept in pristine condition and the best way to achieve this is not to use it.

Preferably at as high a speed as possible and yes, why drop in behind* when there is nobody behind*, when you can hurtle up the inside and slam in front. That car length will make all the difference, of course.

The driver who decided not to indicate at the top of Goodwood Road the other day, when changing from the middle lane into the left lane to turn left onto Greenhill Road may have gotten away with it. Had they not been towing a large trailer, and not looked as they were doing it. The car minding its own business going in the left lane had no chance. Very lucky the damage wasn't a lot worse, although it was bad enough as it was.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Or c) All I have to do is indicate and that means I have right of way to go wherever I choose.
