Don't get me wrong, I give them as much chance of winning as I have of playing in the ICC world cup for Sri Lanka.

Plus they are Port Adelaide, so I don't like them and wished they were much lower on the table!

Alot of love for them and they only snuck in due to 2 outrights and pom playing well for them!

2 outrights isn't exactly sneaking, is it? There were only 6 in the A Grade all season, they had a third of them.

1 was council/pitch related
1 was after they secured first innings against us (out played us) a scenario was set and the won on the last ball

have they beaten Sturt Woodville or kensis this year?

No they havent beaten them all year, but its all irrelevant if they win Sat/Sun. As i mentioned Sturt and Woodville have been the standouts, but that doesnt guarantee a GF spot.

Nope, and Sturt and Woodville both smoked Kensington too.

Hard to see anything other than a Sturt-Woodville final.

Sturt v Kensies GF

Kensies are in good form and have a pretty solid line up.

Sturt just probably too good for Port Adelaide at present, but Kensington with Klinger and O'Brien back into the side and on a roll (probably the best form of any side in the 4) to win over Woodville. So a Sturt v Kensington grand final. Finals are normally always won by the side batting first so anything is possible - if the toss of the coin goes your way and you can get some runs on the board

Start 2/136 at the tea break. Moffatt 44no C Borgas 59no.

Apparently woodville bowled out for just over 100 and kensington 3 for bugger all

Woodville all out 102 after being 3/65 at Woody oval. Kensington were 3 for 20 odd in reply when I left. Sturt 2/180 with Moffat and Borgas in control. Batting slowly apparently, but with an hour to go and two set bats and 8 guys in the shed, they should get 6 an over from the last 20 odd overs. Unless Port get quick wickets they could be chasing 280-300. Runs on the board is the key and hard to chase down, no matter what the score in a final.

With the outfield as slow as it is at Price, i think Sturt would settle for about 250 .

Moffatt was far from in control, couldnt get it off the square for about an hour before the tea break, played and missed a heap. If tea was 5 overs later i doubt he would have made it to the break

Rain tomorrow morning between 10-15mm on Sunday into Monday morning, with most of it Sunday, is not good for anyone. Ball gets wet and greasy plus the seams on the ball open up and batsmen coming on and off the ground and a damp wicket, makes for a long day. Runs on the board by any side going around, will be tough to beat.

will be interesting how much rain actually comes..

the pitch at price could do with a bit of a wet down.. big cracks in the wicket before a ball was bowled.. great to bat on, very hard work to bowl on

Pitch at Price often slow and a bit low and good to bat on. Might be crawling along the ground tomorrow if no rain comes. Tends to just get lower and lower. Might need a shovel after about 40 overs bowled.

Woodville were 0/50 at one stage.kensington were 8/75 when a wicket was taken on a no ball which would of made it 9/75

Agreed Moffatt was far from in control, i think he worked hard and concentrated well, but struggled to hit the ball in the middle, he must have scored 6 runs from inside edges past the stumps down to fine leg.

Borgas was very impressive and in full flight at the end, and looked a class above the rest. Didnt give a chance and was always in control.

Port 3/110 or so with 42 overs to be bowled today. I wasnt aware finals (other than the GF) could be played over 3 days. Someone will have to bat very well for Port, but Dilley is going nicely and Weeks is at the crease.

Dilley going nicely on about 80* has been dropped twice, umpiring has been pretty bloody ordinary with Monger being fired when there was in inside edge, and Davies given LBW when the ball looked to be played nicely to fine leg everyone was amazed to see he was given out when it seemed the ball never touched his pad at all, and also moffat being run out on saturday by a atleast a foot, apparently he admitted he was pretty confident he was out. might have been a good thing he wasnt given out otherwise port could have been chasing closer to 350
