Article 14.
(1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.
(2) This right may not be invoked in the case of prosecutions genuinely arising from non-political crimes or from acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
Yes, fully aware of it. That is what happens here. If you come here illegally then you are detained until it is proven that you are someone seeking asylum from persecution, from then you are allowed into the community. What would you rather happen? People who come here outside the legal means of doing so (even as an asylum seeker) are allowed straight out into the community wothout the proper checks?

FYI, I'm neither. Just giving those who are interested an insight into the workings of a detention centre from someone who actually works in one. If it upsets you, I'm sorry but it doesn't make me either of those titles. I have a niece who is gay, I work with another homosexual girl and what's more, I was brought up with aboriginal neighbours who were great people, so Mr Tipper, you were wrong!

Have you found that too T? I reckon there must be a secret women's business site that they log on to daily to get the latest method of creating havoc when peace should prevail

That is DISGUSTING!!! Change doctors now. What an idiot. I worked as a receptionist for four bulk billing doctors a few years back and they would NEVER have said that to a patient. There are good doctors out there. Shop around.
