Good to see you are fully aware of Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Article 14.
(1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.
(2) This right may not be invoked in the case of prosecutions genuinely arising from non-political crimes or from acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.

Yes, fully aware of it. That is what happens here. If you come here illegally then you are detained until it is proven that you are someone seeking asylum from persecution, from then you are allowed into the community. What would you rather happen? People who come here outside the legal means of doing so (even as an asylum seeker) are allowed straight out into the community wothout the proper checks?

Not sure if this right but I believe Sarah Hansen-Young thinks all asylum seekers should be given carte blanche.

FYI, I'm neither. Just giving those who are interested an insight into the workings of a detention centre from someone who actually works in one. If it upsets you, I'm sorry but it doesn't make me either of those titles. I have a niece who is gay, I work with another homosexual girl and what's more, I was brought up with aboriginal neighbours who were great people, so Mr Tipper, you were wrong!

Nothing new there mate, I am quite regularly wrong! Just ask my wife.

That is DISGUSTING!!! Change doctors now. What an idiot. I worked as a receptionist for four bulk billing doctors a few years back and they would NEVER have said that to a patient. There are good doctors out there. Shop around.

My 5c worth of what gives me the shirts. The increase of four wheel drives in the inner city. They never go bush and they seem to be the new status symbol amongst the CUBS in my suburb, who take their precious little CUBBETTES to school in them because they can't walk them the three blocks, and thereby clog up small, clogged up roads even more.

My mate recently went to the doctor with conjunctivitis. The idiot doctor she copped gave her three sheets of white paper and asked her what kind of white was the puss.

It's stories like these that make me glad I've only been to the doctor once in about 7 years. Most are more concerned about you signing the Medicare forms than actually giving a proper diagnosis.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10
