Lodge vs Smitty
LM, either you are optimistic about your teams chances......or
you are taking a calculated risk in a bid to make ground in the tips.....or
you got on the very attractive odds in a side bet, which the bookie made.
Smithfield have the capabilities, they just haven't fired a shot yet, Hannun, Goulding, Morris, Taylor, Bickle, Newman and Tuckwell are all capable of posting a decent score and there's enough other batsmen around them, they have underachieved so far. Would've been good to see Mathews elavated to the A's, didn't happen though.
The Lodge's strength isn't their bowling, if we can shelve the creative shots early on in our innings' and someone can put their hand up, we can post a decent total and put the pressure on the Lodge.
Infact I'll put 10 cyber bucks on Morris into the win.

C grade actually.
Costanzo still made 90 odd though.
Westies A grade and B grade both registered comfortable wins.

But the guy averaged something like 40 in grade 1 since returning to the club as a 42 year old. Got some serious talent and knows his limitations. Everyone seems to get carried away with how hard he hits the ball (landed them in the skate park at Salisbury North #1 from what I hear) but what he does best is not give chances and waits for the ball to hit. But in the end, 215 is a big score in a one day game on any oval.
