That's just a cliche mate, so Steve Waugh is crap because if he plays tomorrow he'll probably score sweet f.a? there comes a time where you think you can play on and be a number because you used to be good or you can bow out on a graceful note and allow a younger player the opportunity to take your spot.

I also should of added that stats prob should be looked at after retirement, thats when they count.. I am talking for myself here as i dont care what i made last week or last year, what is important is the next week to me. Sure its good to take confidence out of your last game into the next but as far as adding up the years stats before the year is out is a waste of time IMO..

At the end of the day, stats don't lie mate, I've had a few good knocks in my time, a 209 run opening partnership in a 1 dayer, 3000+ runs for my club but at the end of the day I've only scored one century. I've had people praise my batting over the years but my one century sums it up perfectly, that's all I deserved, I wasn't and aren't a very good batsman.
Oz made 3 on the weekend, he'll probably fail again more than once this, it doesn't take away the fact that he's probably the most valuable wicket for a bowler in the PDCA still, he has an ultra-impressive record and the stats don't lie, same as Stama and Sibbs.

No question oz is a champion but i dont rate him on his stats i rate him as a batsmen, to which his stats will prove when he retires..

Any bowler would love those batting stats ;)

My goal was to have my bowling average below my batting average, if everyone does that you should win games.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

That's not a stat

Here's a stat...in the last 4 victories that the Lodge have had over R & C, Sibbick has scored 296 runs at an average of 148 with 4 50's (98, 88 n.o, 52 and 58 n.o). In the 2 losses last year, he got 0 and 26.

I think the boys will go ok on Sat, if they get through the first 15-20 in good shape they'll bring home the choccies.

So it's obviously Sibbick Vs R&C!
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

I didnt see the 0 and 26 on the end there where jim def wasnt bowling to him, so it will def come down to sibb V R&C but again my money is on sibb caught behind for under 30.. Also i am sure all brahmas wins would include sibb doing something, so i guess my point is brahma wont win....

Just noticed our C's are playing at Salisbury North #2 next week, might have to get the whites out of the boot, it's been a life long dream to play on that ground :D
