One Ball Bandit wrote:this is how it is from my view..Every game except 1 we have bowled teams out for under 150 so its not our bowlers that arent doing the job..its our batsmen that are letting us down bcoz in my view a team should be able to chase down 150 9 times out of 10 so in reality we should be 3-1 instead we are unfortunately 0-4 .The A Grade are aware of the batting problems and are trying to fix them but there is not much you can do when there is no real depth in the B Grade batting stocks and C grade for that matter so all we can do is try and do our best with what we have available.
There is no doubt the young Mcleod's boys have heaps of talent and years to come be very good bowlers but who are they going to replace in the A Grade when you have Gully,Miller, Hill,Vikas,Woolcock and Reynolds(who would you drop out of these??)
From what i have seen this yr the Grade 2 is twice as good as Grade 3 which is very poor standard this yr it must be said so there would have to be questions asked whether the Macca boys would be able to take the huge step up to the next level???..but after saying that there is no doubt in my mind if at round 6 or 7 we are still struggling to win games then changes will be made and we will start giving the young lads a chance to play A grade cricket.
PS.Please dont get mad at me Mr Green..i couldn't help myself
now whilst you make some very good points OBB i'm not sure you should be 3 and 1! but saying this i think your a better side than what your scores currently read as i'v said to you and phantom afew times this year i think enfiled as a hole arn't far away but to be honest i believe you do need a couple of bowlers and a couple of batsmen even just to hang around and support the old fella they try and play shots that just arn't there at stupid stages of the game! but as i siad i dont think enfiled are that far off.
