I bought a scaling bag for this trip but wasn't sure what to do with it-will definitely be trying it next time, but will just take the heads out and put them in there...
Cleaning wasn't too bad anyway.. Took 3 of us a couple of hours...

went out on double header charter boat which leaves from pt broughton.
We travelled across the gulf towards Whyalla where he has spots, first 2 or 3 there was nothing as we were a bit early on the tide, so we tried a whiting spot where we caught 18 legal whiting and there heaps of baby snapper being brought up.
We then went on to a few differnt spots with no real luck, one spot we got a small legal one and one big legal one over 75cm. We left there and went to the last spot.
On approach there were 4 boats next to it (which turned out to be pro boats) so that was a good sign. We anchorred up and dropped out lines, we were about 20m away from the other 4 boats, they were bringing up snapper one after the other while we were getting nothing. then the tide started to move around abit and then we got 1. was a big one, about 10kg. Then I hooked on and brought up my first ever snapper which was about 10kg.
In no time everyone had got 1 and I even got a second one. We had to bring our lines up as we had our quota and couldnt catch any more.
In the end it was a good day, everyone got to go home with a snapper and 3 nice king georges aswell.
Ill try and upload some pics off my phone and post them onto here!

Caught it at Edithburgh early this year on Marion Reef, 52cm and 1.21kg. Make my Abu look pretty small! Not bragging or anything
