As a parent you spend alot of time trying to instill some morals, good behaviour and manners and bring your kids up the right way and every now and again they do something or say something that makes you really proud of them and happy that despite the repeated attempts, they ARE actually listening to what you tell them....

So despite coaching my team to only 1 loss this year, on Saturday we got pumped in the GF. Well and truly pumped right from the first minute of the game. The worst 2 hours I have ever experienced on a football field. As expected I was shattered.... But after the game when junior Choccies came up to me, gave me a hug and said "It's OK Dad, it doesn't matter about not winning, we'll just try win again next year" it all made it seem so unimportant but at the same time made me feel successful as a parent and proud of my boys :ymblushing:
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

The only thing I have done differently in the last two days is stop smoking altogether (the last week had just been a severe reduction).

Now I apologise to my lungs, but I cannot pop these Panadeine every day, and if headaches turn out to be the result of quitting, then I won't be quitting! :(

It'll get better. When I quit smoking I got headaches and coughed up a lot of crap for about two weeks but then it smoothed out. :)

This quote I found today:

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”

Made me smile...

For sure, I couldn't believe it when I saw them, grabbed a few, lasted about as long as a couple of 600ml ones though.
