He was terrible and deserves the gary Coleman for his dummy spits at the umps.

I also heard something on ABCTV today. Ok, correct me if I'm going down the wrong path with this, but I heard in the effects mike "that's bulls**t Josh". I'm sure it was one of the umpires - in particular Corey Bowen - saying that to Carr. If that's what it was, you could either class it as a relic of the past - a bit of banter between umpire and player. Or a remark which confirms that nowadays the umpires are trying to be bigger than the match. I'd like to think it was the former.

Going on the way the Eagles played last week, I think Sturt has a better claim to the chokers tag that the Bays. Argue the point all you wish, but it remains that you and your tribe are the ones who will be watching next week's finals from your lounge rooms.

And argue that I will...completely different story today pseudo. Welsh, Hentshel and Grocke in. Giles (the best SANFL ruckman in 2010 IMO) out early for the Blues...a flat track instead of the bogs we've played so well on in the past month. As I have said, Sturt's season went pear shaped months ago...Plus - the Eagles were just bloody good today. Hard at the man and the ball. Our blokes dropped their heads a bit after missing relatively easy shots on goal early in the game...let's hope that's not the fate of the Bays next week. Will Grima have his kicking boots on? I guess it won't matter if he hardly gets a kick  In contrast, the Bays were sitting top 2 weeks ago, with a huge winning streak and have now lost 2 on the trot.

How's the neck chaffing? ;) Black and yellow scarves tend to do that this time of year...
Simple, STURT are FINISHED, Glenelg live to play another day.
And yes I already have plenty to look forward to in the off season. Mark Webber for the 2010 F1 WC!

NW finally got some reward
Matthew Fuller got on the end of some fine play and kicks a goal
Whatta time for Matt to kick his first goal in SANFL footy in only his 9th game

GL had about 2 entries inside 50 for the qtr
PANNOZZO and MILLS were outstanding in keeping NW at ''bay''
Great to see Bryce CAMPBELL throwing his body into the clinches
GAGS and LOWER were dynamite around the packs

GL defended well, but were fortunate not be be much further behind

stop watching the replay & giving us a summary ;)
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

And also tbh our ability to do that today surprised me.

Poor effort from Glenelg today... watching the match I thought Glenelg simply pulled a "Sturt", mucking about, kicking sideways and every way but towards a player who would do something with it. The Bays threw the game away in the first half, much like Sturt, but at least made a last ditch effort in the last, but just couldn't really get in reach to really worry the Legs.

For me, I'm not confident Glenelg will bounce back. The Eagles have been played into form by my rabble and it's going to take some real guts and determination from Glenelg to get over them. At the same time, I'm loathe to follow Norwood, but lets face it, apart from Doggies supporters, no one really wants to go through the boredom of ANOTHER Central premiership, but it is shaping up that way.

Anyway, stunning effort Norwood, just superb today.

Glenelg, piss weak. Considering where you were on the table, its even more woeful than my lot I'm afraid.

Personally I would much rather the umps give the player a gob full back after a comment from a player than have them pay a 25M penalty for backchat...they are all big boys...suck it up and play on...just my opinion though!

So do I actually. Nothing out of hand mind you about it, just a bit of banter. I was only saying I think that some may use that term "they are bigger than the game" from this.

That didn't help Ken Aplin all those years ago, though!

thanks for pointing that out...apologies...must have missed it in the final siren chaos of 2 forums and texts. Opening post duly amended.

JAS - Norwood now have two chances to make the Grand Final. If they make it will you be making the trip over to watch them?

Yeah good one you know the answer it was once by sturt in 76. Just stick to reflecting on your clubs pi$$ poor season rather than reflect on past glories hours after the season is finished.

Good thing finals aren't played in the mud hey?

If we play the bays again this year I will expect a much tougher game from them.
