i got chucked out for swearing years ago, move on, FFS!! Anyway, bad luck Sturt, terrible news that you have crashed out of the finals. I had such a good time at Dungley the other Splatterday with your intelligent supporters, obviously you are not that superior to everyone else. bye bye.

That'd take forever though.
They need a device that explodes flares when you walk through it, like a metal detector at the airport. This thing would be called a flare exploder.

Complete team effort by the Eags today.
Great cameos today from Symmonds, Thompson, Giufreda, Grieger (kept chambers to 3 goals in 4 games this year), Allmond, Cicca and Treeby in fact all played well.
Best at the club- Powell, Parry, Grocke, Jarrad
Eagles record against sturt in all finals now 5 - 1, this season 3-1 and in all games 40-15.
Very enjoyable today but a different story next week against glenelg looking for redemption.
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation

WOW what a game .And as I said we would bring in the big 3 .
And what a difference a leading forward line makes .
Eagles players etc had a point to prove today. No idea if they read the comments on here about them .Or the comments that sturt were going to play the dogs in the GF .Or Scotty Lewis saw those pictures you guys put up. ;) But something got into the boys today perhaps it was pride.
Perhaps Treeby got spurred on by that wonderful Treeby chant that the Sturt cheer squad were chanting .It worked boys best game Treeby has played in weeks!!!
And CSBOWES mate enjoy the off season !!! What a stupid thing to post going to come back and bite you in the butt ;) ;) Oh wait Sturt lost  .
Loved seeing Sturt supporting families leaving before 3/4 time !!Losers
sturt peeked to EARLY nothing unusual in that

So if Eagles don't do anything else they stopped the unstoppable Blues .
Thats 3 wins out of 4 games this year .But this was the best win all the others meant nothing !!!!
Go you Eagles !!!

I have no doubt that you're on to something B2004.
I just know that family connections have a dream that he'll play at North one day.
His brother is captain of the club.
I'm not saying there's any likelihood of it happening but...you just never know.

I thought Sturt had 2 good players, Crane and Jaensch. The rest, well, not much to say. Maybe I missed a few others but to me they had only a very, very small group of good players and a ton of passengers. I was wondering why Norman didn't throw Jaensch up forward, were any other Sturt fans wondering the same? I know he was playing very well in defence and was using the ball well, but you needed some creativity in a very lacklustre forward line.

As for the Eagles, so many great players. Grocke, Lewis, Powell, Welsh, Treeby, in fact their left footers absolutely tore the Blues up today.

Well I knew you'd enjoy it... in the end, I don't regret one bit what I wrote in the forums, why would I? Geez if you can't be confident your own team will win then what can you be? I also said Glenelg would win by 10 goals, all this proves is that I completely underestimated two sides and overestimated two others.

As I said in the second post in this thread, happy to take the barbs, I purposely put my chin out and expressed my confidence, hoping the team could back it up, they didn't, so I wear it, not too proud to take the jibes from opposition fans. God knows if we won, I would have come on here and said "I told you so" or words to that effect.

But have to say one thing, peaked too early? Geez mate, we've won as many GF's as you this century! :-)

I thought Thurstons was good...

Norman doesn't seem to have much idea when the team is struggling, when we're on top early, the team does it on its own, when we need answers, Norman seems less than keen to throw things about and make changes. I would have put Johncock at FF and moved Chambers to CHF, get him to mark outside 50, Jeremy is a better pack marker.

Plus I would of looked at moving Jaensch into the forward line like you said, but then again, we were getting killed with pace in the middle, much like Glenelg in the second game.

All in all... I think it was just one of those days where we were just totally rubbish.

I'm never too good at rating opposition players, but I thought Hassan was the most dangerous player Sturt had today.

My Mum has a lot to answer for... making me ditch Centrals as a young impressionable toddler in favour of one of the "big boys who always win flags"... THANKS FOR NOTHING MUM! :-)
