That is not that hard to do jimmy! But seriously, why did PAOC apply for thier permit this week if they are not playing? What you put on iscore can change anyway cant it? If they have decided that playing them is not in good spirit then good on them, it was my point all along that just because you can do it does not mean you should. Now assuming they wont be playing both GGFC and PAOC can have a good even game of footy. Except FR is not playing! So I am not sure who benfeits from this more ;)

Golden Grove lost by 1 Point.

Good luck to both SMOSH and PAOC next week, hopefully it will be a good game.

As for us to go down by 2 points last week and 1 point this week is devastating, however to be leading at 3/4 time in both games and still lose is more of a reoccurring pattern rather than luck.

Goodbye C6 Forum and safooty.net for a while, I will be back next season around February :)

Forgive me if the scores aren't quite right, but from memory it went like this...

PAOC lead 5.3 to 1.3 during the 3rd qtr and started to think they perhaps had done enough as they switched their CHF to a loose man in D. Doc became the lose for GG and took the opportunity to dominate, repelling every attack and sending the ball back the other way. GG all of a sudden kicked a few and before you knew it they had kicked 5.3 to 0.0 to find themselves up at 3/4 time (5.3 to 6.6).

PAOC reverted to a conventional set up and started the final term well kicking the first two goals to go up 7.5 to 6.6 and when GG answered with a major of their own they took the lead by a point you started to wonder if they had done enough. PAOC had a set shot 20m out and hit the post to tie the scores with about 5mins to go. All of a sudden they scrambled a snap which also hit the post to put them in the lead. PAOC held on for the final couple of minutes to make the big dance.

PAOC 7.7
Golden Grove 7.6

Funniest moment of the day was when #1 for GG bitch slapped one of the PAOC water boys, unfortunately he got yellow carded for it, but it was still hilarious.

You're right - we could have agreed to use your umpire

We could have dropped the entire A Grade and still would have lost by 20 goals

After seeing these blokes playing D grade yesterday I now hope that SMOSH go out next week and abolutely smack PAOC off the park. They will not win without those guys who I see played well enough to get in the best, will we see them in your C grade next week Jimmy? Nah, think not. Straight back up to the top again i rekon dont you. You can say it is in the rules, blah blah blah, but you still didnt need to do it. I only hope the SAAFL looks at this rule next season and makes a change because I am sure this is not what they intended it to be used for. Well done to our boys for their efforts, you hate to sya that two players make a difference but I saw it and they did. If they were not there they would have lost. :(

Can you stand there and honestly say that if your club was in the same position that they wouldn't have done the same?

I doubt it. I've been on the receiving end of similar situations before in different leagues, where sides have had 7-8 players dropped into a finals side, and have lost. Yeah, it sucks, but ultimately, if it's in the rules, people will do it. As someone who played yesterday, let's try not to forget that it was a brilliant game to be involved in, seems like PAC and Grove might be building up a decent rivalry in the lower grades.
