that plus giving a free kick for someone telling him to blow his whistle when someone takes a mark and 20 seconds later (no not exadgerating at all) calling it touched play on!

Hey don't worry about the umpiring, getting out of Wingfield alive that's the main concern

Nah we had him first round, this bloke was an absolute horror!!! Threatened one of our boys after the final siren just for looking at him. I would say the final free kick count was 55 to wingies and 6 to us!!! Now that's not exagerating :? . But in saying that the game was played in good spirits.

Easy answer is we have been running tight for numbers all year and ran out of players on the weekend. Have a few back from injury/uni exams this week so would hope we have enough this week.

Well done to the Uni lads for a good game on Sat!!! Speaking to a few lads that have played lower grade finals this year and it all seems to be the same talk about the umps. I am just dumbfounded by what they are thinking??? Every year come finals time they ruin really good contests by awarding ridiculous free kicks and 25m penalties that have the players from both sides wondering WTF!!!! The Uni fella i played on was talking about how riduculous some of them were. It's a real shame when they over umpire and in turn make the game into farce. All year we are used to having a real crack within the rules of the game and then this. I know from experience that lower grade games are more physical but we don't see anything silly like years before where blokes just run around whacking people. Just let the blokes have a crack!!!

Anyway it was a great game and look forward to hopefully going around again against Uni in a couple of weeks. Also thanks to the Uni lads who stuck around after the game for a beer.

i'd assume we'd see you in a few weeks - but there's also a part of me who wants eastern park to win.

Well done to our lads for a great win on Sat. Toughest GF i think i have ever played in and the spirit of the game was sensational. Finn your guys are a great bunch of lads and you yourself coming in for a chat after the game is a credit to you. Loved all the games we played against you guys and with us going down next year :( you boys will be a very hard side to beat. Please pass on my regards to your lads and thanks for sorting out the video footage. Cant wait to see myself get poleaxed into the fence

From what I saw yesterday, Uni missed a couple of sitters from the goal sqaure (one bloke played on an missed the snap shot from the top of the square) in the 3rd quarter that would have put them equal, if not in front. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I reckon they would have continued their momentum in the last had they got their noses in front IMO

Having said that, Flinders Park fought out the last quarter well and deserved the win

GF's are funny games so much on the line for 1 game. I do agree with you Demon. Uni are a very good side and we knew it would go down to the wire. I spoke to the fella that missed that goal after the game and he was gutted. Momentum is a big thing and we could feel they were gaining it. I am just glad we did the little things in that last quarter to get over the line. It may have been the support from you guys in the pocket :D Not. Can't belive you busted my cover

Ha ha, none of those boys were in any shape to remember who you are!! The MMMMMOOOOOOOOO chants were pretty funny though! A couple of our boys work with Marchy so we were mainly going for you guys. It is nice to watch a game and not care about the result though I must admit

bj didn't hear the whistle - but we knew we were in trouble when the venue was announced as we'd prefer a larger ground in which to run around on. Next year will see div 2/c2 become the home of the spooner with paoc and iggies coming up. We were getting the momentum but just couldn't kick a goal to save ourselves.
I'd like to think that the majority of folk on saturday will go around again - and it will be interesting to see what happens with div 7 to c2 with various clubs just hanging on.
But, Flinders were just too good on the day and we couldn't seem to take our chances as well as the Reds.
