If his price is reasonable they should go for it, big name, lots of experience, would be a good help with whatever young ruckman they draft for a couple of years.

Well I would have thought before a trade was lurking that this would have happened. Also if Lynch is also out of contract then one of them could be that mature age big man that they need.

Despite all that I would prefer the Cats to win the flag over Collingwood to sustain the colliwobble legacy

16 Does ring a bell. Next year that will be how many years since your mob won a flag. You'll come up with 44 but don't think it can't happen to you. By getting rid of Fev last year you might now be in with a chance of extending that drought. You could have been real contenders with the Fev as you made real progress last season. I'll guess you'll never know. Thanks for your good wishes for the rest of the season. ;)

Ha ha. Love a bit of banter with Geelong supporters these days. They quote that they have won a couple of flags recently but most of them jumped on the bandwagon as many people do. You know we are better off without Fev and will only get better as players gain experience as we are still a young side. Give us a couple of years, maybe trade for a few players and we will contend in a couple of years

Ha ha. Love a bit of banter with Carlton supporters these days. They quote sweet sixteen and think they are still relevant. You can't buy flags anymore like the 'good old days' and by the time this couple of years you speak of has come Juddy will be gone and you'll be right back where you started. While I agree that Fev is a worry, you can't say you're better off without him. His best football is a valuable commodity and the only place he ever showed that was at Carlton. One more season could have got the job done, like I said you'll never know. You had your number ones but now they are kicking it to midgets and Lachie Henderson.

Good luck with that.

Couple of years Juddy gone. Hmm don't think so. He is 26 and we will have a run at the gf while he is still playing. As for our 3 amigos wasn't it them that ripped the cats apart in round 4? Anyway, play on. Its an interesting game and anything can and will probably happen

Rumour has it that Ryan Griffen wants to come home due to increasing issues with homesickness. I'm unsure of his current contract with the Bulldogs, but assume a decent trade would need to be offered by both of the South Australian clubs for the Bulldogs to let him go. For the Crows, maybe Chris Knights + a draft pick?

Maybe if we had a first round draft pick. Unfortunately the Gold Coast has dibs on the first round though, will make it very tough to work a trade. Gee it would be good if they could work it though!

Griffen LOL. He's just one of the reasons why the Bulldogs go to water against the top teams. Gets praised to the skies but doesn't get his hands dirty and turns it over something shocking.

OVERRATED.

I heard from a decent source that this is a real possibity, Crows would need to offer their first draft pick + Kinghts in trade for Griffen. The guy says this will happen, not too sure but Griffen deffinately wants to come back to SA.

With Jonathon Griffen and Daniel Motlop requesting trades to the West, who are the players the Crows and Power supporters would be happy to pick up as compensation? Bearing in mind the WCE aren't going to trade Cox for Griffen etc.

I also find this interesting as Griffen/Motlop must believe one or both of the WA clubs are interested in them. From an outsiders view, the WCE seem to have their ruck situation pretty much sewn up with Cox and Nick Nat, and Griffen would only be of value if Cox did decide to leave. Freo also have big Sandi and prefer to use a taller utility in the role of a back-up ruckman (eg Kepler Bradley), so I can't see him being of much use at Freo either.

And with Motlop, the WCE have Mark LeCras as their small forward, whereas Freo use Hayden Ballantyne in that role. With the two players listed, obviously Freo woiuld look at him more closely, but he is an injury/poor attitude risk and would come with a hefty price tag. Not sure they would see the value.

Would the Crows/Power look to lure former South Australians home as part of a trade. Maybe a Shannon Hurn or Brad Ebert? I would suggest Beau Waters but from all reports he is very happy out in the West. Would someone like Quentin Lynch, who is obviously out of favour be of any value to the SA teams? Maybe the Power to bolster a massive void at CHF?

Some suggestions:

Daniel Motlop = Quentin Lynch + a draft pick
Jonathon Griffen + draft pick = Brad Ebert

Thoughts?

No Interest in Griffen as a WCE supporter, Motlop provides a little for the right price.

On the WCE SA boys Hurn is nearly untouchable unless he requests a trade and Waters may ust be the next captain of the club.
