NFC wrote:In regards to Unley Oval, I do hate it, the worst of all 9 grounds. I lined up at Wendy's at 1/2 and they'd run out of hotdogs, seriously? And then I went to the other hotdog place at 3/4, all gone there too. Shocking.
I had a good seat today and then these idiots (Norwood supporters, although you wouldn't be able to tell) unfolded their chairs and sat right almost directly in front, blocking out half my view of the oval. Seriously, I know this might sound childish, but I was there first, if you rock up AFTER the game starts, you do not have the right to sit in front and block my freaken view.
Shocking day at the footy.
I have highlighted the first part of your post because it's that part that I most take issue with but in truth I take issue with the whole kit and kaboodle.
Firstly, the club budgets/estimates for crowds based on attendances from the previous two or three seasons. Given that, the club estimated a crowd of approximately 4,000 based on the last three Sturt v Norwood games which had turn outs of between 2,500 & 4,000.
The official crowd figure for today's game was a tick over 5,000 but in truth anyone who knows their Unley Oval crowds will tell you there were well and truly 5,500-6,000 there today. The question is, why were there that many? Because plain and simple the travelling support was extraordinary. The second question is, why was the travelling support so remarkable? Because Norwood were on a six game winning streak and the Redleg supporter base are one of the biggest mob of front running bandwagon jumpers you are ever likely to see. If I had a dollar for every brand new red and blue cap or scarf I saw today I'd be dining at a top Adelaide restaurant right now instead of chewing on a pizza responding to neanderthals like you.
Of course, The Parade never runs out of food or beverage does it?

And the NFC generally know what crowd number to expect on a Friday night because they've been consistently getting similar numbers for years!!
Seriously, suck it up and get in the real world buddy.
Go the mighty Blues.
