Ratten
Harvey (must make finals this year and do something)
Malthouse (glad to see 'chuckles go)
Craig (on borrowed time?)
Williams
Lyon (all that cattle making him look good)
Clarkson (a lucky premiership coach)
Worsfold (somehow given the green light for next year - most people here wonder how)
Bailey (starting to prove his worth)
Scott
Knights
Hardwick (needs better cattle I must admit)
As players:
Voss (very skilled)
Roos (polished defender)
Ratten (underrated but very consistent)
Worsfold (tough)
Williams (dependable)
Thompson (reliable back pocket)
Harvey (overrated but good)
Craig (heard many good things about him)
Scott (tough but not in the class of others)
Eade (dependable in a very good side)
Hardwick (others were better)
Knights (had a knack of going missing)
Malthouse (as bad as he is as a coach)
Lyon (good reserves player)
Clarkson (thug who can't apologise - ask Ian Aitken - 23 years since little man broke his jaw and he still hasn't had the guts to say sorry)
Bailey (not even a blip on a radar - i used to mistake him for doug bailey the essendon player early on)
Well here goes
1/ Thompson - very good coach, has kept reinventing himself and team
2/ Malthouse - ruthless and passionate, made West Coast and now Collingwood very competitive
3/ Roos - his players play for him, gets the best out of every player under him
4/ Harvey - has stuck to his beliefs and now getting some rewards, not easy coaching this basket case club
5/ Voss - big call but think he is doing well considering no asst role first
6/ Williams - great coach but has the message worn of after 10 years at the Power ?
7/ Clarkson - young coach and you dont get lucky winning a premiership, tactically very good
8/ Ratten - Agree, consistant results but dont think he can take Carlton to the flag
9/ Eade - Old school coaching methods with modern tactics, needs a flag to move up the list, lot of years coaching without a flag
10/ Worsfold - articulate caoch, but struggling now, maybe time for the Eagles to move on,
10a/ Bailey - tough job, maybe should be higher as he is doing pretty well and Melbourne on the way up
11/ Scott - to early to tell i think but like the way he has his team playing reckon would be a honest coach
12/ Hardwick - as above
13/ Craig - time to move on for the Crows, great asst coach just ask Blighty
14 Lyon - just dosnt inspire me when he speaks, nice guys finish last i think
15/Knights - not sure why but think he is in over his head
This is not easy to do,think all Head Coaches of AFL Teams have something to offer and to sit here and judge is hard but opinions are good to hear and give us couch coaches something to talk about
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!
