I believe she will definitely gain from this, although I also think she will gain from having Joyce join her party as he is popular in the country areas.

It would depend on how the rest of the election went to see if she would get the balance, only because with Labor losing support and they were losing that support before this happened, and the LNP being a basket case, the most likely scenario is a hung parliament with multiple minor parities and independents in there. That's if she runs enough lower house candidates.

In the Senate, it will probably be a combination of every man women and there dogs holding the balance.
