Shame, the last time we went there (about 12 months ago) it was pretty good.

Yeah Cove Tavern has been one of our go to places, will run a line thru it also.

For those down South we find ourselves popping our heads over the hill to Clarendon for a regular feed at the Royal Oak, good pubs seem hard to find down South these days.

made the mistake of going there Tue night too. the Schnitty nights aren't bad, get what you pay for but ordering off the menu on Tue and even allowing for the ent book discount was under-whelming.

If we were waited for our last round of drinks, I think we still could be there, dehydrated....

Windy Point Restuarant.

Feck Me Pricey but worth every cent

Their Chateaubriandof beef is lips smacking mouth watering 325 g of protein filled goodness.

8 people everyone seriously satisfied with their meals.

Not a regular place to go to but one that you have to experience, IMO.

Midnight spaghetti at the crown and anchor. Not a big selection but decent food, and good atmosphere.

Yep. Very good. We went in in the morning. I think it was a Sunday.

Completely empty besides Mrs HH3, a gridiron mate, and myself.

Good platters. I think they have burgers sometimes, and there was a pig on the spit being cooked out the back. We were a bit early for it.

I checked their FB page out yesterday on the back of some rave revues.

Their $60 tomahawk looks a treat as well as their $18.50 mixed grill but it would seem that I'd be eating one and a half mixed grills if we were to go.

I had a good meal with friends at the Crafers Hotel the other night, food well cooked and service good.
Prices for food were reasonable but the mark up on wines looked a little excessive to me.

A lot of places are getting a bit pricey in that regard. I get a bit turned off when I notice the price per glass is about what I'd pay for a whole bottle of something just as good at Dan Murphys. Sure a mark up is fair - but 600%!!

I went to a birthday gig not long ago where the venue wanted $50 "cakeage" to cut the cake and supply plates and cutlery from the hosts.

We ate the cake off of napkins after it was cut with a plastic fork. :D

I'd do the same, or, if really pipped off, maybe cut it with the fork on the table cloth...
I have been known to got into a restaurant, be seated, read the menu then, quietly and politely (but noticeably), get up and leave, if it is a real rip off.

I'm going to a restaurant that has a good reputation for food quality tonight and haven't seen their menu or prices, but in this case it doesn't matter because a pharmaceutical company if footing the bill for the group - it is an educational event with a Tasmanian medical expert as speaker.

I don't think there's even a motel in Lucindale Ian!

I can't even recall seeing a caravan park and I drive through there every year

Yeah it's good, reminded me of the days as a kid my folks would take us to the BBQ Inn.

Chevaps and all the meat they offer is good and worth a crack LM, that Tomahawk looks awesome.

As an aside some of the weekly specials at the Big Shed look awesome too.

Mixed Tape Sundays at The Big Shed, Royal Park.

Wear a band shirt and you can request a song from that band to add to the play list, order a burger as well and get a bevvie of your choice for free. When some of the rocket fuel there runs at 8-9%+ you can get some bang for your buck.

@Dogwatcher might be up for this type of thing, I reckon.
