This weeks Round:-

Top of the Table Clash
Tasman v Lincoln South
The Tasman machine just keeps rolling (and arnt we all hearing about it ;) )... last week they knocked off the Peckers by 6 goals. The Rooster defence held firm, only allowing the Peckers 8 goals. The midfield supply from Mallee Park dried up, which denied their forwards of opportunities. Can this Rooster defence hold up against the stronger Eagle forwards in Jarden and Boof - Can the Eagles get their hands of enough footy to score a dozen goals - it'll be a 12 to 15 type of game, free running and the team which can spot up their leading fowards will be the victor. The Eagle defence has been good - rock solid in fact, how will they fare against a Taller Rooster forward line including Cunningham, Cima, Wagner....I'm not underestimating the Eagles by any stretch of the imagination...but
Tasmans 1- 39

Marble Range v Boston
In a week where the Tigers "all played well" (the Team Manager must have a sense of humour!!)and they unveiled their grand plans for their fantastic new development, the Tiger camp must be scratching their collective heads over the last two performances - losses to the (current) top two sides in the comp. My question remains around their ability to kick enough goals to beat those top sides. I ask a similar question of Marble Range - multiple goal-kickers...maybe the inclusion of Sargent may address this somewhat, but the game will be won in the midfield. The Tigers have high hopes for their ruck division and that hope must be relayed in possessions to their midfield group - where the talent lays - hammond, wal and hull especially. Hayden Parker needs some support and it must come quickly, if the Rangers are to climb into the Top 4 - he's really trying to do so much on gameday (including the kick-outs   ).The Tigers look to be lacking some height and this is where the Rangers can expose the Tiges.
Rangers 1- 39

Mallee Park v Wayback
This game will be a beauty - the rivallry of these two clubs is legendary. To be honest they hate each other - mutual respect given. Can Waybacks kick a dozen goals and keep the Peckers under a dozen. The new look Demon defence is working very well, however may get shown for genuine "pace", with the Peckers "run and carry" to try and expose this. Will the eight new Demon recruits be able to handle the quick and elusive play from the Peckers. If they chase kicks or get caught "ball watching" then it will be nite nite...When was the last time Mallee Park lost two in a row?? A few years ago now. Have the Peckers got a few more players up their sleeves. Who gets the tag job on Miller, Jackamarra or Tessman. Can Philip Dudley return to the goal square and to the League Leading Goalkicker form..... I dont think so if he plays as the "roaming" forward?? Can the strength of the Dees in Williams, Smith, Joey, Kayser and the like, worry the Peckers?.....I'd love to tip an upset - especially if Joe can give first use - bugger it....
I'll back the Dees 1 - 39

Very informative and I think you are spot on with your selections. Peckers are over-rated.

I am undecided to what game to go and watch this week. I will probably go to ravendale for the big clash as I cant stand watching the marble range forward line play football and I refuse to watch football at pecker park so that only leaves the ravendale game.
I honestly think tasmans will give south a football lesson however.

I spoke with a player marble park and finally moving pictures has been dropped so your wish has come true. 10 less trunovers we have to woryy about. Beau comes in tommorow along with Weetra and young Roderick. Jacko is away and Hull will have a fitness test in the morning. We should beat marble range you would think! I think Larry should be dropped for Tom or Darren. What happened to Terry Mochos? Austy is playing tommorow also I heard.
I will see you Saturday at the game to give you my $10.
Has the Dennis Males clearance come through yet?

I hope this kid is handled correctly. has the potential to be anything, but could amount to nothing if the infamous pressure is put on him.

KWF - not dreaming at all - the dees record against the Peckers speaks for itself.... especially considering, up until last week (where Tasmans beat them convincingly) - Waybacks have been the only side to beat them in the last two seasons.....

Basco leaving the club? cant see that happening! Hopefully he takes the critizm and advise from the coaching staff and comes back into the a grade with something great to offer. Would be a shame to see his crack the shi ts and float around in the b's for the rest of the year.

RR I wish the Demons the best but are they still a bit underdone ?
I think lack of pace and match fitness might be their achilles heal
