we had them on toast at half time. If we are going to play injured players, be soft and lie down and die like that in the last half can you let me know because I wont bother going.

Don't remember Bostons being in front on the scoreboard at any time of the game UA. My thoughts on Bostons side sat,
Didnt have a key forward that looked dangerous besides Watho who tried his heart out, (no crumbing forwards to help him)
Lack of intensity in middle only Monfries looked like he really wanted the ball. Lack of Ruckmen Basco took the taps then trudged around the ground. My thoughts only

I didnt say we were in front. I said we had you on toast.

You wont win to many more games this season when the other sides get their act together.

My thoughts, which are general, and not directed at any club, are that the standard of football in Pt Lincoln has improved quite a bit since last year (with the number of talented new players, as well as younger players who have taken the "next step"), but some clubs simply haven't improved as much as others.

The obvious example is Bostons, who have had quite a few "A grade" in's, such as the brothers Monfries, but other clubs have just improved more, and recruited better.

I think the "highly rated" tag on the Tigers are based upon the standard of 2009, not taking into account that the other sides have also improved.

My thoughts only.

Fair call Marble. I made a similar comment on another thread where big comments were made by also rans of 2009 in regards to their recruits and where they would finish in 2010 and playing down the grand finalist of last year. They forgot that they had also recruited a similar number of quality recruits . Result - got beaten by 10 goal last year and got beaten by 10 goal this year

MJ and Jericho are on their last legs. Both would be in their mid 30's wouldn't they? I doubt they will win a mail medal

I said 2 months ago after the Streaky Bay trial that Tasmans were the real deal but westcoastpanther made fun of me. Who is laughing now?

Tasmans will win the premiership

Daicos dont continue the form of your predecessors - keep a lid on it its always better that way because if you dont win the premiership you are officially an absolute dick.

I know it's not your call, but that's issue one.

First he was back pocket, and had a dozen clangers to half time (I counted them!).

When the sting was out of the game (v Tasmans), he was put up forward, and got what, two kicks?? doesn't matter that he got two goals.
He's getting picked in A's on the basis of one quarter...

I don't want to bag out one bloke, but he's a prime example of why Bostons aren't up the top of the ladder.

And... You said it yourself... to see if he can "kick a flukey goal." Beau Jenkins played in the two's, represents the Bostons of four or five years ago, but is a proven, hard, performer... AND he can kick a flukey goal!!!
