Great effort by the Dogs, completely smashed North mentally and physically as they usually do, with so many players out it was a fantastic effort.
Only thing less insipid than North players mentality was Weslo security's effort in the pocket I stand in, just when you think this organisation can't be any more incompetent than they are they bring a rabbit out of the hat and suprise you with further levels of incompetence.
*NOTE: No Central supporter was involved or even in the proximity of the event.

Not a good day at the office by the sounds of it.
Radio said too many North players appeared to give up in the last qtr. Alleway got frustrated and lost it for a bit.
Also sounded like there was a bit of bother in the crowd too ?

How did Elstone do? I only heard his name called once, when he kicked a goal. I thought he was going to be a top addition to our midfield but I don't recall, listening to any game this year, he has been a stand out.

I guess not having a ruckman today didn't help, but that aside, it sounded like we just gave up too many turnovers and wasn't disciplined. White has a set shot 30 out, Motlop gives away a pointless free off the ball, and Centrals take it straight down the other end and goal.. Our kicking in is terrible and our backward, sideways play we just seem to put ourselves under pressure. A sideways kick across the face of goal straight to Handy who goaled.

It looks like we have a lot of work to do if we are going to be a serious finals contender.

Think Elstone may have been injured as we only had two on the bench and I don't remember seeing him after the first quarter, but then again there were a lot of phantoms out there wearing red.

At the dogs for the last year and a bit. That's the trick, good footballers that no one else has heard of.

Played the first 9 last year and then got injured and couldn't get back in.......got injured in a pre season trial this year and has come back via the Reserves, to be fair, up to last week we were travelling nicely so difficult to drop the lads that were doing the job.......liked his game and it's always nice seeing your CHB kick a goal. Also a debut for Reichert today with Ash Duncan not playing....

Being made to earn his league spot due indifferent mentallity last season.

Centrals were great today absolutley brilliant second half, a classic case of all played well. My better dogs players in no order were Thomas, Sansbury, Goodrem, Hardy, Switala, Griffin and Nash,

Magarey Medal votes would have went
3. James Allan (centrals)
2. Daniel Motlop (centrals)
1. Nick Gill(centrals)

special mentions to Damon White and No. 42, i have seen wet tissues put up more of a fight than that bloke.

James Allan did me proud today with clanger after clanger especially in the first quarter he was ordinary at best and killed North on numerous occasion, what has happened to Damon White his effort was non exsistent, while spent the last quater trying to push around young Jack Gunston and then proccedd to be beat on most occasions by the young crow, Gill maybe still cut up he couldn't keep his spot on their list.

Very surprised at the result. Centrals were really good today.

Hardy played well. Should have probably been in the side before today's game. It was the Lawry and Hardy show in the back lines.

Really impressed with Reichart in his first game. Did some really good things.

Motlop is fat and lazy. He was more interested in asking the umpire for free kicks than playing the game.

that 'incident' you speak of wedgie was at the other end of the ground to me but the security seemed to be escorting someone from the ground, care to elaborate ?, the 'bit of biffo' that occured on centre wing a spectator got escorted out for pushing a centrals player in the face which was a disgraceful thing to do (no prizes for guessing which player ;) ).

not that i saw it but the life fm commentary team mentioned that james allan jumped the fence....anyone know what provoked this ?

alleway seem to lose his composure for a while in the last quarter

central had outplayed north all day yet at lemon time they were only 25 points down, the final margin of 75 points reflected the true indication of the match

what a topsy-turvey competition we are having this year

can you blokes explain to me why north do this chipping style of defence yet have arguably (on paper anyway) one of the best if not the best forward lines in the competition ?

they did miss archard yet central had about 6 first pick players out
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

lol, I thought of you today whufc when Jimmy put in probably his worst ever effort, I even made special mention of it to OTR. ;)
Damon White was horrid, cost us so many goals, Im sure they moved him up forward to just stop him costing us goals from stupidity!

One of the best crowds in the outer Ive seen for a while today, easily the best effort I've seen from away fans for a while at Prossie.

Motlop was far from our worst, at least he showed a bit more fight and passion than most of the side who were just fragile and insipid. Whyman our best IMHO, the rest awful.

You are being to kind.

p.s. I know why you hate Jimmy Allan so much. It's because he is taller than you. ;)

Message to all non North supporters. If you have a choice of games that don't involve your team, do not attend the North game. Even North supporters don't want to witness it.

I expected today to be a tough, tight contest. Both sides on paper were near identical - a couple of tight wins, a bad loss, and similar percentage.

However from the opening bounce you knew the Dogs had come to play. Their intensity was top notch from the outset. Unfortunately, that effort was only rewarded by 1.2 in the first quarter to go into quarter time 1 point ahead.

Centrals then lifted a notch in the second quarter, slamming on 5 goals and restricting North to 1 to go into half time with a 27 point lead. Jack Gunston kicked one of the goals of the day with a brilliant snap in the second quarter.

It was all happening in the third quarter as North Adelaide completely lost the plot, giving away several undisciplined frees - the worst when Damon White was lining up for goal, and Motlop gave a free away to Gowans. Centrals got the run on and inflicted the ultimate punishment - a goal for themselves. On the scoreboard, both sides kicked 2 goals as Centrals entered 3 quarter time 25 points up.

The last quarter was all Centrals, kicking 9 goals to 1. North went down in a screaming, undisciplined heap, with one of the goals coming from a 25m penalty as a result of an off the ball free against North. Gunstan had a chance to kick the last goal from a similar spot to where he kicked his first goal in the second quarter, but unselfishly passed it off to Switalia, who put the final nail in North's coffin, and wasn't it great to see every Centrals player mob Switala after that goal.

Not only was 9.3 double the 3 quarter time score, it was also more than Centrals total score last week! Centrals ran away to a surprise 75 point win, regaining the percentage lost last week (and then some) while North percentage takes another battering.

One final thing, well done to Corey Reichart on his debut. One of the best first games I've seen - always in it, forced a few turnovers and won a lot of the ball.
