I think all Port Magpie supporters should attend this game.
They want their team to survive and get them out the crap then they should be there and not watching the Power.

IMO anyway. Otherwise I think its very poor form. :?
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

FWIW - I'll be at Alberton and will IQ the Showdown on FOX.

My bug-bear was you telling him where his loyalty should lie, its none of your business.

* Edit - So are you people going to bag every person who misses a Norwood game because the Crows are on? Didn't think so.

obviously i didn't vote but it'd be nice to see how the voting goes....the real port is playing at alberton while the franchise team just trains at alberton & uses the port logo/name
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I am going to stick my neck out and make a prediction.

"The crowd at AAMI Stadium this Saturday will be the lowest of the 14 Crows Hosted Showdowns held."

Why

- Terrible scheduling by the AFL to put this on a Saturday Afternoon. The Power hosted one in this timeslot and got a very poor turnout. I thought at that point the AFL had learned their lesson and we would NEVER see a Saturday Afternoon showdown again.
I could go on a lot about this but personally I am really hoping for a woeful turn up so the AFL get the message to leave Saturday afternoon to the South Australian groups that have played here at that time for over 130 years ie the SANFL and especially country / suburban leagues.

- Interesting scheduling by the SANFL to have the Magpies at the same time.
- it is a Power away game and as in past years there will only be a few Power fans who can get a match day ticket (unless they are Cat 1).
- then almost every other club has had to host a Saturday ABC TV game against a Crows game at AAMI, why shouldn't the Magpies.

- Poor form of the crows mixed with the treat of some opposition supporters turning up will see a few no shows from season ticket holders.

- Those forced by the AFL to chose between their local club and a Saturday afternoon AFL game for the 3rd time in four weeks may just stay local.

Time will tell.

Disappointing programming by the SANFL.
The Magpies need more support than Port at present so I will be at Alberton.

I'm not a footy park member but my understanding is that you are a member of the SANFL only. You then pay a fee above your SANFL membership to be an actual member of the Crows or Power.

Incorrect. Wedgie is right, Cat 1 member is counted in both clubs figures, just look at their numbers that are inflated by SANFL members which is a sham IMO.

So does any $$ go to Crows and Power from these memberships?

I'd like to see a Port Power membership figure minus the Cat 1 Members.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

The answer to the question in the topic can be answered with a question: which team is winning?

Nah, it's quite common when you add the word "low"....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Nice to see where your loyalties really are.

Who are you to be critical of the decision he chooses to make and what game he goes to see? I take umbridge to the fact you think you have the right to tell him where he should go and the reasons why.

Hang on minute...

People tell me "where to go" ALL the F***ING TIME on this site!!! - particularly Toodle-pips!!!
Why should he be any different??? ;)

There will be plenty more showdowns, but there might not be many more Port Magpie games.

Bloody funny this thread. Power get bagged because you hate us, Magpies get bagged because you hate us but you all still have an opinion on what is best for us.

Bloody funny.

Last I checked this is an open forum. Anyone can say what they like, as long as its not offensive.

What I find funny is Magpies fans blaming everyone else for their predicament and then turning their back on them to watch a Power AWAY game.

What do sponsors look for? They look for exposure. By not showing up to Alberton it wont help to gain any.

Of course, I'm not a Magpie fan and not entitled to an opinion.

Yeah I hate Port, but want them to stay.
