what happened to promoting the youth? Burton should not be seen in a crows jumper again and let Walker, even with his obvious deficiences, have his head and learn on the job. this season is over, the club should be building for a better future.

I haven't much faith in either of them as a key position player.
Burton's disposals tend to go to the opposition, and Walker takes too long to decide whether to dispose at all.

Walker has class and smarts that belie his age. Think he is worth the hard yards. I remember watching him take Campbell Brown to the cleaners last year.

Sorry for having an opinion...i only go to every home game, and 2-3 away games a year

Maybe 3 years was unfair, but will stand by 2 years. Dont forget Edwards had probably his best ever season last year, and was touted as a brownlow chance early on. I was trying to make the point that he should be cut some slack, just like McLeod has been. There has been a few times in the last 2 years that McLeod has put in a 2-3 shockers in a row and has managed to keep his spot. I think Edwards should be given the same treatment, at least for now. If the choice had to be made between getting rid of McLeod or Edwards right now, then it should be McLeod IMO. His role can be filled by someone else, where as Edwards ball-winning ability is harder to replace. McLeod was and is a champion, but he hasnt gone near a contested footy for long time - not saying that his entirely his fault, but its a fact.
FWIW, both should be kept in the side for the time being, IMO.

I think he will learn more playing with the crows than the equally faltering redlegs.

Yeah if Walker was going to be dropped, certainly Burton had to go aswell. He hasn't been doing much the last couple of weeks and he's not in the best of form that's for sure.

Burton is an interesting one. Past 2 weeks has looked like the most dangerous crow forward without actually benig dangerous at all. Seems to just go to pieces when faced with the prospect of a set shot.

Agreed. He has been almost unbeatable on the lead, plucking everything that gets directed his way. If he can find his radar he's worth 5 goals a game at the moment. Gotta give him a chance to find his range, and if he's going to do it anywhere it will be under the roof tonight.

Nathan Brown said on the Footy Show last night that he feels the reason that Adelaide are losing matches is because of the lack of the ability of their forwards to kick straight, he then raised the question of why the Crows would then drop the one forward that can kick straight?

I would give him this week and thats it. If you go 0-5 your not playing finals and he wont be around next season. Might as well find more out about Walker. Or....

Just play him every week and instruct him to take Hangers at every opportunity..!!

I honestly don't think Walker will be out for very long, I reckon his dropping was more about matchups than anything else. They needed another pacey option off the bench this week against the Dogs, and they had to chop one of the lead-up forwards to make room.

Despite his potential Walker is still behind Burton & Tippett who have more runs on the board and therefore was the unlucky one this week.

handballing to trouble, 3-4 men chasing the one ball carrier, kicking to a 2 on 1 disadvantage, giving away too many free kicks, not manning up in the backline OR the stoppages...seriously
