Lame Duck Teams - 2010 Obituraries HERE

Postby Rik E Boy » Sun Apr 18, 2010 10:32 am

Gidday Viewers.

I hereby declare that Adelaide are officially a lame duck side for 2010. Yep, she's all over. An interesting comment made by the commentators (about as rare as a Crow goal this season) was that when you keep on using the same methods and the results don't come all it takes is a few losses and the players begin to lose belief in the fact that the goal is achievable. Adelaide are clearly a better side than what they have shown but it is fairly obvious that they have lost that belief that made them a practically invinceble side at home and a respected opponent away.

It's pretty hard to see them running about this September after going 0-4 in games they would have pencilled in as wins when the fixture was released.

As for Richmond....well - DER! They are probably lame ducks for 2011 as well.

NEXT!

If Craig doesn't make the end of the year, the next coach has a great head start on success.

The personel that we had last season has not changed enough for them to be playing the way they are. Injuries are not an excuse anymore considering the "depth" we have on our list.
I think it is about time craigy showed another game play (which i am starting to think doesn't exist) as this ring a rosie hand ball is starting to shite me as a supporter.
it showed when we did kick it long yesterday we looked good. but with some of the players not putting in as much as they should be, and the discraceful kicking in front of goal (which has spread through the whole AFL) it is going to be very hard to win games.

If the Crows are 4 and 4 in 4 weeks we'll bump this thread mate.

Bitch slapping indeed. We just dont have the muscle to match Geelong and it showed again today, but we'll be 8th,9th or 10th so I look forward to the other mid-range teams playing Geelong. We wont be the only mob to get belted by them.

Love your optimism there tassie, but I'm afraid that is highly unlikely. Would be a turn around for the ages if it was to happen. :?

Yep It's all over for the crows. Now all they can do is reshuffle their side blood the youngsters and start to look past the older lads. And Craig, see you later my friend.

This is what happens when AFL recruiters / draft camp pick athletes not footballers (exception Nic Nat=GUN)
Past Brownlow winners Diesel Williams, Paul Kelly, even Hird would never have made it.
That's why a mature age player who is footy smart - Barlow is and will be 100 times a better player than a No.1 draft pick - Jack Watts.
Cap the interchange, get rid of athletes that can't kick a footy and bring back man on man hard footy PLEASE

Exactly. Take Podsiadly for example, he is 27 IIRC and has started so well with the Cats. I am not sure who said the comment but "Footballers will always beat athletes".
