wooden spoon for souths then panther?

no jericho no souths

Tasmans a lot more depth this season.

Tigers a top 4 chance.

I think mallee park will only get better and dominate the season and go through undefeated IMHO

For better or worse, Footy's Back! 2010!

Now! Bugger OL, if anyone's keen to do a tipping comp, please let me know, I'm happy to facilitate it for you.

Would be up to you guys on how much, how points are scored, etc.

results in GFFL, ramblers by 90 odd points over eyre united, tumby by 9 goals over lock and cougars in a great game by 4 points over yeelanna (very lucky to win i think, but will take it).
just like to give my congratulations to gus glover who played his 300th for lock yesterday. a top effort as that is around at least 20 years of senior footy with hardly any injuries, he also played 15 years in a row at mortlock and one the best i have played with.

Jesus! NO interest in a tipping comp???

Surely Barksoff! You'd want to go back to back?

And with everyone seemingly saying that 3-5 don't have much between them, it'd be extremely interesting.

Come on boys! Local footy!

MP - I'm in.....

it really is going to be a cracker of a season. WCP - we'll see buddy - only one team has beaten them in two years - they look less predictable in structure this year from what i've seen

watched tumby bay v lock - was an interesting game that was quite close for maybe the first three quarters. Was a very hard game with quite a lot of scraps. Lock was very good at releasing players from contested balls whereas tumby would often have every player going for the ball. lock apparently had college boys home so next week will probably be the real indicator of where they are at. tumby bay v ramblers next week should be a good game although tumby appear to be down a few personnel but nevertheless should still be a good hit out!

Unfortunately going to miss a lot of Gf footy this year but DJD is spot on this one will be a beauty
James Pedlers tackling and strength was outstanding on Saturday and could be very telling against the Blues
Apparently still a few to come in to the side.
talking to some United Yeelanna supporters last night said they had their chances all credit
to Cougars.

Don't pump this game up too much Jule's !! Would suggest Ramblers to start a very warm favourite this week given the injuries we copped Saturday, plus between 7 or 8 still to come in to the side we had against Lock. I reckon round Round 12 will give you a better indication of where Ramblers and Tumby are at. Having said that, Great Flinders looks set for a cracker of a season with bugger all seperating 4 of the sides as far as I can see.

I cant see Tumby just rolling over and lying down mighty bomber. A great game beckons, and if you cant 'pump' up this game then what game can you 'pump' up in the GFFL?

Who in your opinion will finish bottom EU or L ?

Why is the U/18 hockey championships presentation dinner going to be staged at the Port Lincoln Hotel when we built this facility at ravendale to cater for such events?

One wonders what the hell is going on out there?

Hi again everyone,

I havent posted for months as a few of you annoyed me a lot with your very ordinary comments about us at the PLFL and the umpires towards the end of last year.

I am willing to post my thoughts provided your comments about myself, the PLFL and umpires are constructive and positive.

Looking forward to round 1 and a very competative season ahead. One thing I will comment on is the clubs and their attitude to night football. It looks like it is dead with only 1 game in round 2 a saturday night TFC v MPFC. The clubs are the ones who decide if they want to play night football and MPFC were the only ones who wanted to, I guess they dont lose a lot of bar trade on a Saturday night there. If the clubs don't want night football it will die. This is purely a club decision and has nothing to do with the PLFL.

Remember my comments made are my comments and do not reflect anything from the PLFL or umpires.

If anyone has any questions myself or marble park who takes on an important role with junior football this season will be willing to help in anyway.

Good luck to everyone in the upcoming season.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

So far: TRR, OL, UA, Steiger, MP.

So, similar to last year, I'd think the following:

Tip the winner and margin each round (0-39, or 40+). 1 point for the winner, another for the margin.

I'd say $10 each is about right, depends how many are keen. And maybe a mystery prize at the end???
