I was pretty impressed with Abbletts last season i think it was, from the pocket on a wet day at Kardinia Park running towards the boundary.

I cant remember if a goal came of it but can anyone remeber the run from Justin Maddern with Shaun Rehn in hot pursuit, looked like it was slow motion, it was a while ago and cant remember if he kicked the goal, would not have been the best goal but certainly memorable!

Blight said a while ago that as far as he can work out, about 400,000 people were at the ground that day, for the sheer number of people that tell him they were there for that goal.

Mark Merenda's goal for West Coast against Adelaide in either 2000 or 2001; north west pocket one of the best I ever saw. Even normally hardened Crows fans applauded that one.

Yeah that was fantastic, he also has some other blinders. Leon Davis has kicked some great ones that stick out, my favourite one of his was Against West Coast at subiaco last year. Adam Yzes banana from the boundary line 50 metres out is also a personal favourite

if this is the one i'm thinking of, apparently that pocket at that ground is the easiest poscket in the country to kick a goal from (apart from Morphetville Park!)

was still impressive though.

For team play, you can't go past Symo's in the 86 grannie...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I once saw Cameron Mooney kick a goal from 20m out on a slight angle. I know! I didn't believe it either!

Peter Daicos
1990 AFL Qualifying Final
Collingwood v West Coast.
Waverley Park
Tucked in pocket, kicks banana/checkside, on the wrong side, ball follows line of boundary, bounces on goaline, then goes through.
