Brisbane drafted quite well in my view.
Matthew Leuenberger will provide a very good ruck duo with Cameron Wood in a few seasons and should be a good replacement for Beau McDonald, should uinjury strike once again. I don't think we'll see much of him next season.
Albert Proud could play in the midfield or on a half forward flank. See him perhaps as a replacement for Akermanis in the medium to long term. Could play a bit of senior football next season
Chris Schmidt looks to be the draftee most likely to play regular senior football next season.
James Hawksley - medium hard running half back-wingman-half forward type. May get the odd senior game but will probably spend a year playing with the Suncoast Lions.
Matt Tyler - A hard running defender. Somewhat of a surprise, but may be insurance for the injury plagued Pat Garner. A trade for Mal Michael may have snared an earlier pick to pick up a better tall defender type, if the Lions felt they were short in that area.
Sam Sheldon - Some are suggesting that he may have been a first round pick next year, but was likely to be taken by the Blues as father-son so the Lions were fairly keen to snare him.
