Well he announced it at training last week that he is heading to the Riverland for work. The expectation is he will play for Berri with Saf. However he didn't make the decision easily but I would say is done other than a clearance coming through. Big loss to our midfield after Marty Wilson heading to SPOC.

He should be a handy pick up for Berri then by the sounds of it.
So you've seen everything have you? Yep Have you ever seen a man eat his own head? No Well you haven't seen everything then have you.
Bandar, did you watch the trial on the weekend ? I didnt see any of it, but i know our coaches were reasonably happy with it. What was your take on things, from a PHOS point of view ?
Pretty much went to script Felch we start slow Portland start harder. We start to peg it back and eventually get over the line. Saying that I think the gap has closed as shown by the margins. Then again not sure how you weigh up the comparable strengths of last years sides to this years. Definite improvement in Portland though and I think they have some to come back so should have a good year not certain about depth as we ran a very thin B grade but don't know what the rest of Div 3s depth is like so you may be OK.
Your big bloke went alright bandar - cant remember his no coz I saw 6 games of footy on the weekend. Played FF in the last quarter. He looked a class above the rest
Plus the blonde balding bloke on the wing stood out again, when he came on, in my opinion

the big bloke your talking about jimmy was pretty impressive appart from his kicking for goal, he continued to pull a wedge out the bag instead of a 7 iron. and the other bloke your talking about was also very good, phos always looked to get the ball in his bands as he uses it extremly well, hes a pretty big rig aswell
The guy at FF is a new guy for us might need to work on the kicking but provided a target had a bit of cork in the butt he reckons that stuffed his kicking we'll wait and see. Not sure if you are talking about the same blonde blokes balding one is Floyd who is about 20 or so and really coming on. The other guy is Rowie who played state last year played most of the game with a rolled ankle that slowed him down a bit.

Cheers mate. I reckon playing you guys over the last few years every season has helped some of our blokes no end. When we started our annual trials, we were in D4 and struggling to avoid relegation. Many of those blokes were 17/18/19 years olds in those days and now are the backbone of our A grade. PHOS are always a hard, competitive outfit and i think it set an example to our guys that toughness is about putting your head over the footy.

Yes the big bloke had the sand iron out but so does Johno Waltham and he still kicks 50m+. He had good hands and took a big mark at the start of the last quarter
The other bloke is Floyd - picked him out against PNU last year - quick with good hand and foot skills

AKA wrote:Heard you do have a big mean ruckman Matty Armstrong. Not the biggest bloke goin around but a real goer, gives 100%
thats correct Matty A isnt the biggest bloke going around and with a injury which formed late last season is more than unlikely to be fit for round one. had scans monday to see how much longer he will be absent for.. but hope its not that long if he had it his way i believe he would be getting kitted up come round one..
It's all fun and games till you get serious, sit down shut up and have a joke... Were all here for a laugh and a few to many bevvs

Whats the name of the big bloke bandar? He looked a class above everyone else. Where'd you get him from?

Jimmy if you saw the last quarter you probably saw the best of his trials he's from Morphett Vale where he played mainly 2's and couldn't get ahead of their current FF. Andrew Harris is his name and from the outside I would say he is a work in progress.
For anyone who is interested. Shane Crawford will be at the Modbury Football Club tonight from 4pm! He is shooting his junior segment for the footy show.
Should be a good experience for the young lads and great advertisment for the Hawks.
A's @ 8. i believe were in the club rooms after so any PAC or SPOC people get along should be a cracker of a night. great club rooms on the hill at Hope valley so all come along.
