Anyone want a go at tipping the final four in A1 and A2's?
For me its Pultney, Pembroke, Rechabites and Grange in the A1's (and Pultney to win with Ritossa and Cunningham to dominate the finals)
In the A2's I think Woodville South, Payneham, Modbury and PAOC (as a roughy). I think Woodville is the team to beat. Goodwood (formerly RCP) are stiff to miss out, but they rely too heavily on the Martin brothers and I think this will tell at the end of the season.

Green & White Fever
bulldogs
watch out for the farmers in A2 if yates fires look out
The Farmers are more than a Graeme Yates show. Scotty Alfred, Burgey and Cheesy and Goves are top notch bats, while Butchy and Cochrane are solid with the ball. Stevenson ( a new player, a pom, nonetheless) looks to be a gun player, while Steve Daniels is a top-3 player at the club, Lisky is looking like the champion he always has been. Now it's all just gotta come together for us to play in the Premier Grade where we belong.

And now, we're looking at a washout - uncovered wickets anyway.
So, the season to date:
round 1: no game due to ATCA incompetence
round 2: play
round 3: play
round 4: play
round 5: play
round 6: play.
round 7: opp. forfeit.
test match
round 8: too hot
round 9: play
round 10: wash out??
6 weekends of cricket in 11.
terrible.

yeah love washed out days especially in october and spring carnival.
But yes cricket and punting do go hand in hand, probably due to the good races around spring/summer compared
to winter sports.

walkies vs shoc didnt go ahead. Wicket wasnt even prepared! Always looks dodgy when the home side are in the poop on the second day and they "forget" to turn the sprinklers off and every other game gets on!
