No new contract for Hart

Talk on the national game

Ben made a good comment last night, he said he was still upset but you don't burn bridges over these things, as always very honest

I am not usually a Corne's fan, but I thought his article in today's Craptiser put the entire situation in perspective, if you get a chance have a read

Guy's what's the latest on Ben, has he made a decision

Reading the Craptiser today it mentioned Ben put his hand up for a Port Assistant role

If I am off the mark, well I am happy for people to say so

BUT, it does not sit easy with me that the Club has offered Ben a role, the club has shown patience while Ben considers his playing future, But Ben shopping himself around for an off field role at other clubs is probably one step too far for me.

Ben has been an absolute champion at the AFC and probably in the best 3 all time players at the club, and I might be off the mark but I don't believe Ben is doing the right thing by having a bit each way, in life we all don't get the luxury of a safety net or fall back position

the club has been patient, my opinion Ben has had sufficient time and it's time he makes a decision

mentiuoned on the news tonight that he has nominated for both drafts...must have had a nibble I would have thought to do that. Was thinking about it and maybe St Kilda? McGuire out for the season so Hart maybe a good fit on a 1 year deal ifs they are serious about giving the flag a crack next year

Syd - The role from the AFC was a lets say a make him feel better about the fact we just sacked you as player. The role is also more in the corporate side in which he may not be interested !!!

It is very clear that Ben still wants to play on and after the news last night he has had some geniune interest from a club - and in fact he always said that he will wait until the draft to see where he is at !!!

If the AFC see the need to fill the position in a hurry im sure they will !!!

Please enlighten me as to what is wrong with seeing what is best in life for yourself and your family !!!
It is what it is !!!

The Adelaide Football Club could march into Poland and Syd would be wondering why the Poles didn't lay out the welcome mats.

Hart may end up at the Saints but he would not be a perfect fit for McGuire

McGuire is a genuine CHB, Hart has not played CHB in any part of his career, he spent a lot of his early years at Full Back but most of his career has been at HB or a back pocket

Scoob

I agree as the club terminated Ben's playing options he should be given time to access his playing options elsewhere and I agree Ben needs to do the best he can for himself and his family,

If Ben has told the club, he will make a decision after the both drafts and will also test the market for a full time assistant role and if unsucessful in both he will consider the crows offer and the crows agree then I have NO Issue

But if Ben has told the club that He is only chasing a playing contract and not other off field roles, and based on this information the Club is holding that position for him, then I do hold some concerns

I just believe in transparency when it comes to these dealings

Scoob, finally, Ben has been great to the AFC as the AFC has been great to Ben, it's been a win - win situation for both club and player, let's remember the Crows did not have to offer Ben any future role at the club, as we know many champion players at all clubs have been cut and released with no further job offer,

All I am saying, through Ben's disappointment I hope he is being open and transparent, that's all or it has the potential to get messier

not as many as the AFC since their exsistence....they are increasingly become more and more ruthless on their champions where there are plenty of examples elsewhere of the clubs looking after them by letting them make the decision...

Mods and Rehn, I agree, but in saying that I don't see the difference between the decision the AFC made to release these two players to that of the Kanga's trading Schwass and McKernan

McGuiness, McDermott and A Jarman, I think the decision was the right one, once again, the Kanga's made a similar tough call on Mick Martyn

Lyon has stated that he would like Kosi to play CHB !!!

I dont think you will find that the Dutch was stipulating Hart to play CHB - or did i read his comments wrong !!!

never said he would play CHB...mind you how many genuine CHF's exist these days???...their backline is losing a bit of talent/experience with McGuire and Hart could be a short term fix
