Why is Elizabeth still staying with their coach. The man has not got the stuff. He came from the BL&G and only looked after kids. Can't see Elizabeth going anywhere, even with the players from South Gawler.

So you saying any body that coaches kids can't move into a senior coaching role.
That just a dumb comment, as just about every AFL coach started in under 17s 18s or 19s and coaching is about learning and doing seniors is the icing on the cake.
Give the guy a go I hear he's only in his second year of coaching seniors and the committee at Elizabeth under Mick Platten believe he has the goods.

If you believe you can do a better job go for the role next year?

Yeah i was even gonna respond to "Couch Coachs" comment. Thats how stoopid it is. But yes i do agree woth u Baggy, he also has had a involvement and still has links to Central District's junior programs. Best thing Elizabeth can do is stick with a coach for more than 1-3 years. Had way to many A grade coaches in last 15 years

Ok. I will say no more. BUT can you let me know when the job as A's coach is on the board for next year. I may give it ago. And yes it will be on the board. Mike Platten only thinks about Mike Platten. If they are all happy with Matt then they can sign him up now and not wait till the end of the season.
If I see it I say it.

2 things mate.

a) Its Mick Platten! (So u obviously know him well pfft)
b) Its in the constitution that the job is up at end of every season, like a lot of clubs. If not most!

You neednt apply mate ur obviously a bit of a dickhead

I don't know him well but what I do know is that if they want to get on top agian then they need to look at coach's that have more footy behind then. I was very happy with Chris ( scally) Platten. He has a good background and know's a lot of people in the game. From what I have been told from inside the club they went for Matt as he said he could bring a number of players and not much $$$ to get him. The heart of the Eliz club is a good one but I just can't understand what they are doing with Matt.

Matt's a bloody good bloke, having known him for more than a few years.
If Mick Platten only did things for himself, then he wouldn't be down at Argana Park as often as he is, he'd be off doing something else.

The Plattens and extended family have the EFC in their hearts.

Maybe I'm a bit sentimental and parochial - but I've never seen any of the stuff you're talking about Couch Coach.

Actually, if you're going to take shots, maybe you could reveal who you are. Then we might know if you've actually got credentials to make these sort of comments, or are just another keyboard warrior.

Good luck to Matt and the Eagles in 2010. Wish I was there to wear the blue and gold again.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Here Here.

Obviously you have a hidden agenda CC and just want to attack Matty G. Suggest u build a bridge mate and stop attacking someone that does not deserve it. He is very well respected amongst the playing group and has modern ideas and methods on the game. And is a good communicator. Cant ask for anything more in a Div 5 coach.

Dogwatcher. I also think that the club is a good one. I think the people at the club are doing the best for the club as I wrote in my last post. I have just got a thing about Matt. As for the Platten family they are a great family and I have known them for over 35 years.

Queen Vic. I was not bee involved with mick Platten I was just saying what I have been told buy other's that are at Eliz. I take that one back. I see that you were at Barossa when he was. So what you have just said has answered a question that I have wanted to know for a long time.
