1ST HOME GAME OF THE SEASON

Postby eaglehaslanded » Tue Oct 27, 2009 9:18 pm

It looks set as though when the 2010 AFL fixture is released this Friday the Crows are set to travel to Perth to play Freo. This will be the 3rd consecutive season the Power has had the 1st home game at AAMI. It would also make 8 of a possible 14 occasions. Yeah i'd call that fair and equitable  Another broken promise by the AFL

that's only 1 off of being half/half, suggesting that somewhere along the line the crows had two or maybe three Rd.1 home games in a row.

I don't think it would matter that much whether a club played their first game at home, i'd say they'd be more concerned as to whether or not they played their last minor game at home.

Agreed. If you're gonna travel to Perth, I'd rather get it out the way first up.

Boo friggin hoo. Better that than getting say an angry St Kilda at home. I reckon the most important fixture for a non Victorian team is the last round, not the first.

I believe on 2 occasions played 2 home games in a row but never 3. Port however have played 2 in a row at least twice incl the current run being stretched to 3. The 1 match differential doesn't bother me so much more the fact it will now be 3 consecutive years.
