Skipworth Asks To Be Traded

Postby Punk Rooster » Tue Oct 10, 2006 10:53 pm

Dear Mr Trigg,
Please can I be traded to a Melbourne based club?
I did a very gutless thing during the SANFL finals against North Adelaide- I picked on the smallest bloke on the ground, after I tackled him, I pinned his arm back up behind his shoulder, & for 5 seconds, I felt REALLY tough.
I don't understand why, but none of my team-mates congratulated me on my corageous act. Not even after the game. How selfish is that? No team spirit! Then, when I got home, my mum said it was disgraceful what I did, so I hit her flush on the jaw & broke it. I was that pleased with myself (the first time I've broken someone's jaw) that I helped her back into her wheelchair (proving that I am a good bloke).
My problem is this though- that uneducated North lot now have it in for me. One of their supporters said he was "gonna get me" on the way into the GF. I had the last laugh though- I jumped inside the laundry basket & snuck in to the ground! How brilliant is that? Also, some of the players have talked about squaring up with me- idiots, don't they know that I'm a tough guy?
My plan is this though- trade me to a Melbourne based club, where I can lose myself in the VFL system, & no-one will ever find me- I can also (under armed escort on my way to Melbourne) drive past the NAFC & blow raspberries at them & yell "nyah nyah nyh nyah nyah nyah" at them (hopefully the bus doesn't break down whlile this happens).
Yours Sincerely,
Hayden "Chopper" Skipworth

PS- I will get an Eagles Premiership tattoo (while under general anaesthetic), but how cool is this- I have a yellow streak on my back, & they are going to use this for the background!

Dutchy would be happy, he declared his interest couple weeks back, Skippy would be a good pick up for the Kanga's

3rd round draft pick would probably be the deal

Or he he can go a learn some finer points of the "chopper" trade from Brodie Hollands...

Now that would be ironic Skipworth at Collingwood after Punky's rant.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It really has been the sweetest of years.

1. We have a few players leave to go to North in previous years until finally we lost our home grown state ruckman and all of a sudden it seemed North were on the up and the Eagles were imploding. Stated reason as this player wanted more game time as the number one ruckman. We hear how great it is being coached by Jars etc. etc.
2. We in turn recruit a couple of North fringe players, one of which we are hanging our hat on as a CHF hope, which is laughed at by those in the know at North Adelaide.
3. 1st Round 2006 - we get absolutely belted by North Adelaide and according to some posters, Inkster and others are having a great time in the North club rooms after the game. Should we be worried?
4. North shoot to the top of the table while the Eagles hover around the middle for the early part of the season.
5. It starts getting better now. Eagles thrash North at Thebarton Oval. Jars blames the cold showers and declares he'll never set foot in that place again. North supporters claim Lindsay will get his own back next time after his intimidating remarks at the North players in the warm up.
6. Hudson returns to the North line up, but not soon enough to be the number one ruckman against the Eagles at Woodville. O'Hara gets thrashed and in the opening 5 minutes the Eagles are already 5 goals up and on their way to the minor premiership. The Roost is going crazy. Jars blames the supporters. Drebin has a name change. North are in turmoil.
7. Things steady for both clubs and in the end only percentage (namely the 10 goal thrashings the Eagles handed out to North) seperates the top two teams.
8. O'Hara gets dropped to the reserves after playing second fiddle to Hudson for much of the last part of the season. What the? No one saw this coming at the start of the season.
9. Both teams cop a belting from the mighty CDFC and must face off in the Prelim for a spot in the Grand Final. Despite the fact the Eagles should have put the game away in the 1st quarter, inaccurate kicking and a determined North Adelaide see them hit the front in the 3rd term only for the Eagles to stamp their authority with 5 goals in time on. The game was put beyond doubt and a few late goals to North see them end up losing by 7 points.
10. North fans are livid at Skipworth's attack on little Matty. The whole South Australian football community rings Wedgie saying they wish North won so they could see a competitive Grand Final. Thornton starts taking bets and Skipworth is paying $1.60 that he won't even make it to the change rooms before the game because North supporters will ambush him. He was at least to receive plenty of boos every time he got the ball.
11. North reserves go back to back. There's a positive.
12. Eagles thrash Central in the Grand Final. Skipworth doesn't get any boos on any of the 32 occasions he had the ball and goes on to win the Jack Oatey. Grocke is a premiership Centre Half Forward. North fans ponder what might have been seeing they only lost the Prelim by 7 points.
13. Official NAFC website runs a poll on what type of player to recruit next year and North supporters still don't think midfield is a priority. Jarman's coaches reports ended the day they lost their first final. Punky loses $275 on a bet and still angry at what Skipworth did to little Matty. Already talk of big name recruits coming the Rooster's way which will surely at least get them into the Grand Final in 2007. After all, they've been a top 3 side for so long. Oh, wait a minute.....

What a sweet, sweet year it's been!
