Credit where it's due even though it pains me to say it, for a team that rarely travels they have now won 10 of their last 13 games outside Victoria (so they said after the game).

Taylor Walker is still a bit away from it I reckon. The reasons the club gave for him being dropped were on show tonight IMO. He'll be very good for us in the future I'm sure.

Excellent rational assessment.

I think the Crows were pretty good last night - not at all disappointed with the last two weeks' efforts. The St Kilda game has been the only shocker in recent times and in the overall scheme of things, Crows fans should be pleased. Some of the ball movement through the middle of the ground was very good; the execution of it will only get better with more flying hours in that style of football.

Good ins for Adelaide with Walker & Mackay, Walker with something to prove will kick minimum 4 goals. Porpy also to fire up after a few quiet games and kick 5 to light up the home crowd.

Crows to win by 30+

Adelaide, in the next group behind the top 4....

Yep, defence and midfield were really good Saturday night. Some of our run through the middle was superb. It just fell apart across half forward, and then Collingwood hurt us on the rebound. I was cursing O'Brien all night, it seemed like everytime we went forward he was standing their ready for an easy mark. I'd be interested to know how many of Collingwoods goals came from us coughing it up on the half forward line.

Yes Booney, we're definitely not premiership material, but all 3 games coming up are winnable and I still think we are a shot at sneaking into the top 4 (whether we 'deserve' to be there in your expert opinion or not), particularly with the wheels falling off the Bulldogs on the weekend.

I'm off to the MCG Friday night to watch the game, so hopefully they can get back to their winning ways!

Thats footy Gingernuts, you cough up the ball GOOD sides will make you pay & Collingwood made the Crows pay.
When Collingwood coughed it up across half forward the Crows always looked dangerous running & rebounding out of defence in numbers to only then turn the footy over up forward due to alot of PRESSURE applied from the Magpies.
I say to you Gingernuts compliment a team that deserves praise & stop looking for excuses.
Collingwood worked extremely hard to get their numbers back behind the ball & cover the space the Tippets, Burtons, Walkers & Porp's need to work in.

Agreed NM we played well in parts of the game and the difference was going inside 50. Collingwood's work rate all over the ground esspecially to get back was amazing. I think without Bock our run and carry out of defence is very suspect. Bock breaks a line and makes good decisions with the footy going forward. If we have him doing that IMO we wouldnt have turned the footy over as much and may have been able to sneak through that pies defence.

Some good signs (once again) but definatly signs that more work is needed. Mind you Collingwood were up for the game and busted there gut. It showed once the siren went.

Ease up their No Mercy, my comments weren't meant to take anything away from Collingwood. I'm not looking for excuses at all, Collingwood were superb Saturday night and Adelaide were simply not good enough to beat them. I was merely pointing out that the Crows lost it across half forward, and Collingwood's set up across half back destroyed us on the rebound.

Sheesh.
