I reckon the Crows are pretenders and that this status will be revealed to all when they get rolled by the Pies on Saturday night.

Personally I don't think Adelaide bridged any sort of gap with last weeks performance, but I do think it showed that they are on the right track to eventually becoming a side to give the flag a shake.

As for being pretenders, that may end up being so, but I am confident the lads will show some form this week and prove a few people wrong.

The key in this game is pressure. Brisbane had Collingwood on the ropes last week in the first half but couldn't maintain that pressure for the whole game and the woods ended up running over the top of them.

Yep, both are out with Bock being the most significant.
Stevens will go back and will really need to be at his best to be even close to covering for Bock.

Good ins for Adelaide with Walker & Mackay, Walker with something to prove will kick minimum 4 goals. Porpy also to fire up after a few quiet games and kick 5 to light up the home crowd.

Crows to win by 30+

Exactly right, terrible post REB.

A young team that wasn't even meant to make the 8 called pretenders, what a joke.

yeah you dont think the old brigade 300 and 200+ gamers affect those stats at all....? either way its not even the argument, you cant say that the crows havent got a side with much more inexperience this year, that no one expected anything from..? clearly doesnt make them pretenders.

In actual fact REB the pretenders could be from down Geelong way. They should have won a flag last year (with the team they have got) and this year teams are fastly catching up!!!

With the Doggies losing, this becomes if possible, an even more important game for the Crows..

I expect it to be a close game all night, with Walker / Tippet / Burton being the small difference in the end for a tight, hard fought win.. Collingwood have historically struggled against quality zones, hopefully that happens again..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

They were too good tonight and they are a real contender this year

When we come up against these top 4 sides I'm reminded that we just aren't top 4 material this year

Credit where it's due even though it pains me to say it, for a team that rarely travels they have now won 10 of their last 13 games outside Victoria (so they said after the game).

Taylor Walker is still a bit away from it I reckon. The reasons the club gave for him being dropped were on show tonight IMO. He'll be very good for us in the future I'm sure.

I don't think he is a good commentator but his knowledge of the game is great to listen to just not as a commentator.

I would say the majority of footy supporters would. Blight made watching the game tonight, almost unbearable.

I have Taylor Walker in my Supercoach team. Tonight he scored -6... (I've not seen a minus score since I've been on Supercoach)

This kid is so dominant in SANFL but hasn't shown me yet that he will be able to make a real impact at AFL level.

What do people think of him???

Tonight he looked woeful...

So you're not that young and developing if you have an old brigade, are you? The fact is you have a good blend of youth and experience so trotting out the old line of "we're young but we're ahead of where we should be" (according to all those wise commentators who didn't rate us in 09) doesn't mesh with reality.
Fact is you're probably in no different a situation to the last couple of years when Mckay, Vince, Knights, Porpz were you're young brigade with the same oldies.
