I hope she's still around when the Gold Coast plays.

I hope she refers to Karmichael Hunt as Mike....

Apparently NRL commentator Ray Warren abbreviated Karmichael Hunt to K-Hunt during one call

That was the first and last time he made that call

Fell into the same trap so many commentators do on TV.

'The devil is in the detail'.

Fine on radio when we can't see what's happening and have to fill 'dead air'.

But not on a visual medium.

Great callers like Martin Tyler and Marv Albert understand this...

Like some people have said, the words that come out of her mouth aren't the problem, it's the voice. When she called the last 60 seconds of the Hawthorn/Geelong game when it was tied, and while Bartel took the mark and kicked the point, it was just a high shriek. Biology's fault, but sounded terrible all the same.

To be fair, she isn't the only commentator on TV the general public would like to see the ass given to. Alastiar Lynch, Robert Walls, David Schwarz are the first three that pop into my head. And Ricky Olarenshaw on the boundary. Can't even string a sentence together without getting himself confused.

Sorry if this has already been posted

Kelli has been given 2 weeks to prove her 'worth'

That's the funnierst article I've read for a long time. I can't get over the comment "she's not ready for finals". She's not playing, she's calling!!! How is calling a final any different to calling an important home & away game like last weekend's Geelong-Hawthorn clash?

Stephen Barham has to be kidding himself doesn't he? But then again, I'm only judging Underwood on her ability to call footy, not everything else.

I must admit I didn't really hear much of her call last week, but atm I've got the Fox reply of the Crows v Cats on but not really watching it, so I'm basically just listening to the call while I'm working on my laptop.

I can mostly hear Blighty and Kelli and I'm not finding it annoying at all ... maybe it's just a matter of getting used to a different voice.

She's certainly not in Cathy Freeman's class! ;)
