Brett Burton's fourth goal.
He pretty much ran a marathon around the man on the mark to kick that goal.
Nobody gave a yelp.
Diabolical.

He took a about 17 strides to the centre of the ground didn't he? It was ridiculous. No one near him.

In the replay you can see Toby Thurstans with his back turned to him.
Then he catches a glimpse at the last second. Goal!
Port: mentally weak/soft/lazy or just don't care?
Either way, just plain insipid.

The amount of times i've seen the Power kick a goal that could've instigated a fightback and not one bloke gets around the goalkicker to fire them up.
It's so important in this day and age, to fire up your team-mates and mentally switch on.
Watching the Cats do it on the weekend when they looked gone against the Hawks was fantastic. And ya know what, it got 'em over the line.

Lazy chasing, lack of shepherding/protection for the ball carrier, not effort to effect pressure and basically no desire. The problems are big, and in some ways bigger than what a bottoming team might face. On the comment about ruckmen, theres only one way we can compete in the rucks next year and thats to recruit a ready made one. Theres no way Lade can go on next year.

Yes he probably is not ready, but in all seriousness Lade can barely run at the moment. When Brogan gets back in, i would drop Lade and bring Lobbe in. Brogan to play around 65% of the game and get some game time into Lobbe.
Lobbe's best asset IMO is his committment. That in itself should give him a go at the moment in port's side, because there captain, kane cornes and rodan are the only 3 that have committed at all this year.
Thoughts??
