Interesting scoob, just makes me dislike charlton's attitude on the field even more, they seem to be ok off the field

Very quiet at LS until next year i think grub, everyone very dis-appointed, i think 2 people made over double figures on an ultra fast outfield, toddies batted well however S.Mcann made 50, 40 of which coming from snicks and dropped a few times, very fustrating....Late withdrawl from Bawds as unfortuanetly his little one is sick....best wishes to him and his family.

I bet HAJE cant wait to post on here about the game....nothing like bowling a fellow safooty poster out!

Gourlay spotted at 8 am at del giorno's with a date from adelaide....cant get away with anything in this town

J Doudle contemplating retirement after Toddy's 3 catches, 2 stumpings and a runout on Saturday. Jules is still yet to take a catch this season!!!!

Yes tips, not a good feeling as a batsmen leaving one and then hearing the death rattle, happened to myself on a couple of occasions!

Poor ol sammy mccann loves the slips region, that's the only area he can score runs and with his lightning pace between the wickets, runs can pile up quite quickly!

I too have heard a couple of hilarious comments from jimmy down the pubs with regards to Charlton's chances this season. And with regards to Whillas's send off's, fair enough to show a bit of passion, but his praying, kissing the ball, pointing and other well documented actions need a bit of reeling in. Perhaps he should bat up the order a little when playing someone like SES with stiffy coming down breeze, then he might quieten down a bit!

Hey grub, how'd you and your off-sider go Sat nite? Did you have to get the bucket out for him again?

Haje - Kept him in control Sat night ... no buckets required.
New book coming out called the 'Whitetips book of excuses for not winning".... should be a best seller... all captains and coaches should have one ... would be a good Xmas present!!!!
Very dissapointing at LS ... start culling I reckon!!!
Is Gourlay an early riser... thats several times hes been seem in his disco clothes at Del Gs.
The Charges are chirpy in the field when they are on top but get them behind and a u can hear a pin drop!!

You guys love giving the umpires crap... and youd be whinging if you had to do it yourself.... PLCA cant win!!! These guys are underpaid and under pressure.... and do a great job under the circumstances.... we all remember what it was like when we had to umpire ourselves and how you could never get an LBW from anyone.
Look there intelegence could be questioned but please refrain from the verbals to them... at least there out there having a go!!!
With Tasmans loosing I Wish dickie was still around or has he jumped of the bandwagon!!!! rollin rollin rollin

Tips, be very surprised if he didn't receive some kind of warning. Comment made in the heat of the moment, especially after what reidy did to us last time, sure nothing too much will come of it. Wouldn't be surprised if Dongah received one either! He just doesn't like giving LBW's, and as that was the first time we had him umpiring one of our games this year, I think most of the fellas forgot that.

Oh gee, Grub's found the edit button!! First you bag them yourself asking if we can get new ones, then you edit the post deleting that bit and add in the bit about me having stuff all to do (because I didn't need to). Now your praising them up, you love the games on here don't ya.......

Two umps dont give decisions and one comes from the firing sqaud!!! Like the Chargers say intimidate the umps in the field.... thats the go... What your thoughts Troy 'Scoob' Sareant?

The Gm was stirring you up about your input levels not me middy!!
Wt - I would make a good ump.... couldnt be bothered reseting the stumps all the time after u bat tho.... maybe they could look into using metal stumps.

Yep Whillas is definately a character and definately good for a laugh, at that is! And J. Stockham, if asked, would say he is the most underated player in PLCA with the best pose when batting in the middle!

Scoob, how many you make? Did Whillas get you out?

Whitetips, how many in the big comeback?

Don't know how you would go lasting on the hot days umpiring Grub, reckon you might struggle a bit with the warmth and concentration!!! And on the really hot days we would end up having to umpire ourselves anyway because you either wouldn't turn up or you wouldn't return from lunch at the change of innings!!!
