Pretty good comment that MP, Every year you can go in expecting to win as a goal, but not always is that goal realsitic, e.g. the Crows in 2000-01 and dare I say it 2005.

However you can as you say build to winning it, and if things go you way you might even get to challenge for it.

Thats is why I think the Crows still have a good chance over the next two to three years, we have good young players, Maric, Douglas, reilly, porplyzia Vince doesn't look too bad either. Our older palyers are pretty good roo, Goodwin, McLoed

Apart from Johncock and Rutten it is our middle tier, the so called backbone group that still, in my opinion need to step up if we are going to make it to the big dance......

I think with list they have, the Crows seriously need to consider moving Mattner and Johncock into the midfield (obviously their games would require some development for this) ... That in itself is risky as you're "Robbing Peter to pay Paul" somewhat, but perhaps it's easier to find replacements for the back half than the midfield?

The emerging players, and the increased performance levels of players previously on the fringe of selection is coach Craig's greatest gift to the Crows. Porplyzia will be a gun, I like the look of Douglas as well and blokes like Massie and Doughty have really come on. I reckon that Maric can play as well and with Biglands going down and Clarke maybe reaching the end I wouldn't be too keen to get rid of Meesen either.

Besides, the Leggies need him!

I don't confess to know everything about every club, my view on Goddard is based on my observations, his first couple of years were very disappointing, this year they played him in a sweeper style of role, whether you agree with me or value my opinion I don't care but at least I am prepared to support my opinion

So Memo to you "Piss Trough" before youstart with the name calling, least have the nuggets to support your position or argument "COWARD"

Just to further clarify, Im willing to sit here an debate footy with anyone, that's what our great game is all about, but soon as people start throwing cheap shots and need to reaort to name calling, well mate in my books they are COWARDS.....

I love debating footy back your argument in and go your hardest, we wont always agree but that is footy

Mate, if you want to get the tissues out because I called you a one eyed supporter (Cyclops) then I reckon you'd be far to sensistive to have frosty one with or anything else you may have in mind (you'd have to come to Ipswich BTW). Speaking of name calling, wasn't it you that suggested Dutchy indulged in oral sex recently? Hypocrite.
