If he can come on as Rendell thinks he will, it would improve our structure enormously - aggressive (question marks over Moran here), strong and athletic 196cm bloke with a huge leap, long arm span and excellent pace for his height. Spells in the ruck followed by a roam across HF, perhaps deeper; right now our major structural issue comes about when Tippett goes into the ruck - we then have no pack-splitting option inside 50, hence our prime movers hesitate with the footy. If we can find one more player with a similar physical presence we would see much better ball movement out there. Here's hoping young Shaun is the man.
I agree with you about McKernan.
In the meantime I'd have Maric up forward whenever Tippet is not there.

Well it will be interesting to see what happens this weekend. I would say if the crows ruck and on ball brigade got found out against Port then it could be very similar this weekend.

The Crows need to look at recruiting an established ruckman the current crop they have give them nothing.

Most other clubs have at least 1, in some cases 2, outstanding ruckman who not only gives good use at ruck contest but also becomes a target around the ground and pushing forward. The likes of McIntosh, Cox, Jolly etc are the type of players the Crows gameplan needs yet Maric and Griffin don't provide this.

Tippett needs to be up forward and relieving the ruck every now and then not rucking 50-60% of the match. As soon as he goes into the ruck they have no tall targets up forward.

As for Moran the less said about him the better.

Moron was almost service-able on the weekend. Didnt think he was that bad. Not a first choice ruckman but perhaps a capable second.

And where are you going to recruit one from mate?
The same way your going to pick up Pav?

If anyone seriously thinks we'd be significantly better than we are now if someone other than Craig was coaching, they are kidding themselves.

Get yourself Terry Wallace and have a crack at say 4 years of top draft picks.

trade the guy to port or back home...maybe a bloke by the name of byron schammer has had enough. or port might need a new ruckman after lade retires at the expense of lets say, pearce

Schammer?
Credibility is waning her Bob. Schammer hasn't been the player he was touted as after a few injuries. He was so terrible against the crows it was an unbelievably heartless performance. But having said that, i probably wouldn't put be overly excited if i had to play for Freo.

What you wot, I know not.
I agree your style does indeed negate ["no"] your content by making it hard to discern... ;)
