season 2010 should see gone a lot of deadheads from the Power, to many of them have been getting a free ride for a couple of seasons now and are nolonger up to the standards required.

from an outsider looking in ... it appears to me that P.Burgoyne is getting a game as a reward for his 'past' efforts! is anyone able to tell me if part of his contract says he can't be dropped? (tongue in cheek! )

When Dennis Commetti calls your efforts shameful and pathetic you know its time to give the game away.

I know this is forum is for ort people but a genuine comment on todays game,

You see less ball handling errors, better decision making and more commitment at one of the better SANFL games than that one. I thought I was watching the key-stone cops play footy today in that last half.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The writing was on the wall in the 1st 5 minutes of the game.
Never seen a teams form fluctuate as much from one week to the next as the POWERS.
Totally PATHETIC effort.
Having said that, they will EASILY account for the Eagles next week an d everyone will have the finals back on the agenda.

One of ports better players yet to get a mention IMO was Surjan. His mark on the wing/back flank typified his effort for most of the day

agreed i thought surjan and dom were the only 2.

I agree the writing was on the wall & that was early in the week when Choco didn't sign his contract.
I told you the players thought it was all put to bed bud no Choco's manager had other ideas & the players minds arn't where its suppose to be at present, they are thinking WHO is in charge next year & does Choco really want to coach? It seems like $$$ is all Choco's worried about.
Choco aint making any more friends carrying on the way he is.
I say Choco you've been the highest payed coach for a long time take a pay cut & move forward your making a real d!ck of yourself.
Its costing you team!

Surely Peter Burgoyne has played his last game for the Power, his effort was just non existent today.

Wow. Speechless. What a debacle.

There were times I was pi$$ing myself laughing. Seriously. Best stand-up I've seen for a long time. Well, it would've been if they didn't lie down like flea-bitten mangy dogs!

Dom Cassissi again proved why he's captain. Busts his gut every week. Fights to the end. Obviously not one of Chocko's 'Hollywood pets'. Should be streets ahead in the B&F.

Much-mailigned Thurstans did well down back. So did Surjan. Davenport and Rodan had their moments.

Quite sad to see Peter Burgoyne bumbling and fumbling his way to retirement. Only two years removed from All-Australian type form. He's shot. Surely has played his last game. Can't carry Sh*tburger anymore.

From Roget's Thesauarus...

Port Adelaide - abominable, amiss, arrogant, atrocious, awful, bad news, beastly, blah, bottom out, bummer, careless, crappy, cruddy, crummy, defective, deficient, diddly, disgusting, dissatisfactory, downer, dreadful, erroneous, fallacious, faulty, garbage, godawful, grody, gross, grungy, icky, imperfect, inadequate, inferior, junky, lazy, lousy, not good, off, poor, rough, sad, shameful, showpony, slipshod, soft, stinking, substandard, synthetic, the pits, treacherous, unacceptable, undisiciplined, unsatisfactory
Everyone can eat s#!t! A big bag of s#!t! I'm the greatest man in the world!

I watched most but not all of the match on TV - there was only so much I could stand in one dose.
The thing that struck me was hesitancy - nobody seemed prepared to back their judgement on where the ball was going or the opposition player was going, and attack.
They all seemed to wait and double-check their first impression, as though they were expecting to get into trouble if they made any error.
As a result they were second to the ball and late with the [half-hearted] tackles.
By contrast Crows players made errors against Freo but went straight back in and tried again.
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
