Christ Nick, look at the draft picks - including yourself - in that time.
I could coach you lot to an Elimination Loss too.

Reiwoldt, Koschitske, Clarke & Clarke, Dal Santo, Ball, Goddard...

How many of those players were injured most of the year??? They need to have a long hard look at their fitness and rehab programs

Yeah, Western Bulldogs as well ,how many injured for the year?
They also play on the crappheap.

Saints had no problems with fitness in 1966

you can not say ten weeks is an opportunity

i have had this chat with you before, when Blighty was selected for the job he was very clear on his vision and blueprint for success and he was very clear on the tough decisions that needed to be made to change the culture of an unsuccessful club, Blighty took the job with the committment from the Bpard they will back him when during this process..

but when the time came to make these tough decision, you may ask what decisions, I am suggesting culling some senior players, the board showed no courage and took an easy option.... soft soft soft, and look where the club is today

too many clubs hide behind easy excuses, injuries, lack of good draft picks, **** blah blah blah blah, I get sick of hearing it, that's why in recent weeks I refused to write Adelaide off, and Craigy he has won me, he has developed a weak list into a strong team, their is no star system, no reliance on two key players and he does not hide behind the easy excuse

1980 Tassie Medalist

Clarity on Macca's infection, when he played with the Bursa yes it was painful but their was no risk of further damage, the infection was a 1 in 100 chance and this was a rresult of the corrective procedure, ideally the Crows would of liked to had the procedure done a little earlier but it was Macca's decision to wait until some players return from injury, the infection is unfortunately a uncommon event

Comments by Butterss on 3AW

Speaking on 3AW on Saturday, Butterss said St Kilda's board and executives had met on a number of occasions over the 'part couple of years to express and discuss the various concerns' they had about Thomas.

And when asked if he was serious that he had been mulling over Thomas's position for at least two years, Butterss said: "Yeah."

"Our concerns date back ┘ and in some ways we've had countless discussions about those issues over the past couple of years."

Latest news is Saints will not begin the interview process until the week after the GF, this begs the question, the saints may enter the trade period without a coach, this is not a good position for the club, 1. the new coach does not get an opportunity to re-engineer the list, 2. what player would agree to a trade without knowing who is the coach

I have it from a pretty good source, that one of the players who Blight wanted to get rid of upon becoming coach of the Saints in 2001 was a dual Brownlow Medallist. Fair enough maybe get rid of a few of the older players on the list as he did with McDermott and McGuinness at the Crows but to expect to be able to get rid of the Saint's "favourite son" (wouldn't have even been 30 yet in 2001) is delusional IMO.
