I'd prefer the Pirates to the Ravens or Power. That was their first mistake especially as there was a famour flag or two with the skull and crossbones.
Imagine them turning Footy Park into a big pirate ship with the skull and cross bones flag hanging over it with someone made to walk the plank at half time.
Would have been a fantastic marketing ploy and imagine the pirate talk in the crowd.
Would have drawn 1000s more through the gate and made millions more in merchandise etc than a bloody Powder whatever the frak that is.

Please let them be called the Pirates. I can hear all the comments now, Port Adelaide Butt Pirates FC. "Excuse me mate are you a Pirates supporter, is that why you don't know your 3 R's" (Accentuate R's so you sound like a pirate!). So much fun to be had
