Rubbers is the better coach, firstly because he coaches and figjam doesn't, and secondly because he is a bloody good coach.
Which would be a better coach at AFL level is another matter as both are unproven (at that level), but which would be the most marketable is undoubtedly figjam.

Since this post is on the AFL site I'll assume you're talking about their abilities as a coach at that level.
Technically Mickan may be more astute and experienced but I'd opt for Buckley to get better results purely because of the respect he'd command through his achievements as a player. Blokes would be much more inclined to play for him than they would for Mickan.

Yes, I never said that he didn't.
But you'll agree that Mickan's AFL career was nowhere near as remarkable as Buckley's.

All Australian, Club Captain, Best & Fairest and Assistant Coach at AFL level.
Best & Fairest in a Premiership year, as well as Grand Final Coach at a club starved of success, at SANFL level.
It's easy to forget Mark Mickan's credentials.
