I wonder if AFL listed players dig their graves career wise at the top level when they make demands at their SANFL clubs.

POWER-listed midfielder Mitch Farmer’s AFL career is in ``jeopardy’’ after he told SANFL club Sturt he wanted out last week.
The 20-year-old was named to play his first League game for the season on Saturday but was removed from the selection table entirely on Wednesday, after telling football operations manager Duane Massey he wanted a transfer to North Adelaide.
Farmer, who made his AFL debut and played 18 League games last year, has played all season in Sturt’s Reserves and is now without an SANFL club.
``We had a meeting with Peter Rohde and Darren Trevena (Power officials) last week and they said they needed to know we hadn’t written him (Farmer) off,’’ Massey said.
``And that’s a no-brainer because we rate Mitch as a player and a kid.
``He was one of the best against Norwood then in the best against Centrals (both in Reserves) and was really starting to push for selection.’’
But Rohde said he left the meeting thinking Sturt ``didn’t have a great deal of faith’’ in Farmer.
``His AFL career is in jeopardy,’’ Rhode said.
``And obviously we’re disappointed he didn’t get a game on the weekend.
``We’d expect him to leave Sturt and he’s got the right to move clubs.
``We want him out there playing, his career is in the balance.’’
Prior to Farmer’s phone call, Massey said he had received a call from North Adelaide’s football operations manager James Moore inquiring about the tough onballer.
``And I said the only way Mitch is going anywhere is if he continues to play well in the Reserves, we don’t pick him, and Port Adelaide (Power) calls a meeting with us,’’ Massey said.
``We want him in our League side because he’s starting to play some good footy.’’
Rohde said the Power had ``nothing to do’’ with North Adelaide trying to ``get themselves in on the situation’’.
Under the player interchange agreement if an AFL-listed player wants to switch SANFL clubs, they are offered to the bottom team from last season. Given West Adelaide secured Matthew Lobbe from Port Magpies this month, South Adelaide (which finished second bottom) gets first option at Farmer.
But the Panthers would still have to pay a transfer fee believed to be $5000 to $10,000.
``Quite simply if the football club is convinced Mitch wants to play at South Adelaide, we’ll be happy to have him,’’ Panthers football operations manager Neill Sharpe said.
Sharpe said South had scheduled a meeting with the Power this week.
On Sunday, SANFL general manager state league and partnerships Darren Chandler said Farmer was yet to lodge a written complain - which he must do if he wants to move clubs.
North Adelaide football operations manager James Moore could not be reached for comment by deadline.

So in my view, it was correct he started in the reserves this year. But, hes had a great month or so and couldnt get a look in, so I can understand he feels a bit annoyed at that, especially considering he played so well and so often last year.
Id want him to stay and work through it but it seems the wheels are already in motion which im not overly pleased about. On other hand, its his career, not mine, or anyone elses, so hes gotta give himself the best chance to make it.

Luke didn't link the two issues together and neither would he even if it is the case. If it was the catalyst for our bad performance then it needs to be resolved quickly before it derails our season.

Please "Voice", are you serious?? Can you name these so called players?
His non selection would have had no impact at all on the players; they are a TEAM, there is no "I" in TEAM.
