Luck does play a big part in footy. Norwood were lucky to be playing South, any other team would have put us to the sword by half time.
Boos and hisses to Clay Sampson for the mind numbingly dull tactics in the last quarter, if his team had have scored (or even attempted to mind you) they probably would have won the game. To be outcoached by Trevor Hill should forever remain a black stain on his record.
Well done to us I guess. To come back from seven goals down and playing like Norwood only can when they're not switched on is some kind of achievement. However the first half, when taking into account the relentless mediocrity of the opposition was the worst half of football I've seen us play this year. And that takes some doing. The third quarter was great and featured two of the best marks you're ever going to see, JD and Bryce's running back with the flight of the ball.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'
