Panthers held possession very well for most of the last quarter but their intent from the first minute was to defend and in no way attack, which imo definitely cost them the match. It was only a matter of time before the Legs got in front.

Torney received the free kick and, as I'm sure everyone in the ground was gobsmacked, he held onto it for about 10-15 seconds then kicked backwards. When the siren sounded he pumped his fists in the air in elation and looked for team-mates, but he noticed none reciprocated, turned and looked at the scoreboard and then collapsed. Very interesting turn of events.

Youd think the Captain would at least have some idea about the game situation at the time.
Just on the unusual scores, was there a big breeze going to one end? Or was it just a coincidence that Norwood barely scored in the 1st and South didnt in the last?

If so (and I know hindsight's a beautiful thing) was it the best tactic? I know it was difficult to score at the other end, however it wasn't impossible and I wouldn't have thought the 3/4 time lead coming home into a gale, was enough to sit on?
(although granted, they very nearly did)

Can't for the life of me work out why they went "defensive"....cost them the game IMO
