I'm extremely surprised Coughlan was dropped but I'd say the other 3 won't be on the list next year.

It was Ginger, however Richmond are in a better position than 5 years ago off field than they were. To cap off the work done in the past 5 years, they shouldn't take a step 'backward/sideways' by appointing a new coach. To get them into line and to align them with other clubs, a Malthouse or Matthews would be ideal.

Why swap one failed coach for another? How many premierships have Collingwood played in under Malthouse? Preliminary finals?

Coughlan was a bit of a surprise. I am very impressed with the choice to play Vickery, looking forward to see the big guy have a crack at Dean.

I didn't say about Premierships or Prelim finals - this was just to get them up with the rest of the comp. Taking them to a flag is a completely different discussion IMO.

BTW, I think that Malthouse has never had the squad that the Lions/Cats/Hawks did over the years, so he's done quite well. My opinion only.

They've had semi regular Preliminary Final appearances under Malthouse with a couple of Grand Finals in there. If you turn up to Preliminary Final day to see your side and reckon they're crap with a crap coach, then you're hard to please.
