RD 10 Eagles v Norwood - Woodville

Postby magpie in the 80's » Mon Jun 01, 2009 7:01 pm

Will the Eagles continue on their winning way or will Norwood spoil the party?
I went to a fight the other night, and a hockey game broke out. - Rodney Dangerfield (1921 - 2004)

Rain is forecast according to Channel 7 news Bayman

Fortress Woodville needs to come back this week .Eagles need all the fans who didnt attend last week to come back in droves this week.
There needs to be more than just me and a few others yelling and hitting the seats and making noise .

they were selling last years match day jumpers for 40 bucks each in the Merchandise Tent......

not sure if they all sold out but if your looking for a bargain then get in quick......

these jumpers are in good nick and are well under half price......

got mine signed......

another good game to look forward to this week......

if it does rain then we have three of the best wet footy players going around.....

McKenzie, Cicca and Broadbent......

In this corresponding game at Woodville last season, some young fella called Taylor Walker kicked 9 goals for the Redlegs didn't he ???

Same lad kicked 5 in a match yesterday against the AFL reigning premiers and wont be there so with a strugling Norwood side, I think Eagles by 5 goals.

Eagles are a good side when they want to be and still have some important players to come back into the line up. May be the suprise packet of the season in terms of getting back into finals action and perhaps casuing a few upsets.

Eagles by 5 goals, or 10 if they show up. You know the opposition won't.

Very important game for both sides, this time last year we ran Norwood back into form curtoisy of a Ben Schwarze mental meltdown at full back. Norwoods team on paper is still very strong and they cannot be far away from turning the corner. If the EAGLES can maintain most of the team from last week we should be ok but the PAP must be close to taking Broadbent and / or Stewart which will take some covering.

Far out, I can't believe we're discussing this already, I haven't had time to get over last week or the game before yet

At least Woody is close to home, and I generally bump into Freddy and all the Henley nightowlers, so it's generally a good time regardless of how schizenhousen we play.

Rob Fiacchi should get his long awaited chance to return to the League side if Stewart gets called up.
